I have been away from the board for a while now. I got back in the gym a few weeks ago after quite a long lay off and immediately started browsing the board. I forgot about the wealth of information that is available here. Glad to see not much has changed.
Since I stopped actively posting, I graduated from law school, had another son, and have been practicing law for two years now. I miss training and am glad to be back in the gym. I do not have what it takes to be a competitive bodybuilder at any serious level. I have no intention of attempting to defy this reality. However, I do enjoy competing. Actually, I enjoy the journey more than the actual competition.
I have decided to do a show next year. It is time to get my diet and training in check. I will compete in the masters heavyweight division in whatever show I do. I am 45, 6ft. 2, 255lbs. The last time I competed I was about 220lbs. My conditioning has always been on point at the show I competed in, but as Phil used to so gently tell me, I just never had enough muscle.
Anyway, I wanted to say hello and hopefully I will become an active member of this wonderful community again.
