How long did it take to regain strength

To get back to pre surgery??
Maybe 4 months but I was very cautious with my incision not wanting to herniate it , I was cut from pelvis to sternum.
I was back moving probably 50% of what I was in 2 months but very very slow controlled movement on machines just to start adding some stress and get nutritients back in the muscle

Update
been back at the gym hard for two weeks and I’m already back to pre Covid size!

How is he doing now?

Sorry such a late late reply, but my brother is still having issues. Not as much energy, no pump during workouts most of the time, and he still gets aches and pains every day in his legs, wich was the first symptom of COVID when he had it last time.
