I eat pretty much the same thing all the time because I don't have to think. Just cook and eat.
IT looks like this daily=
breakfast 6 whole eggs plus 1 cup egg whites , 1 cup potatoes, 1 cup greek yogurt with berries, an unhealthy amount of coffee
Lunch 1 lb raw weight chicken breast, 2 cups cooked jasmine rice, 1 cup spinach and whatever sauce I throw on it for flavor.
Dinner - 1 LB lean red meat or fish or more chicken + 2 cups rice or potatoes + 1 to 2 cups green veggies. again preparation depends on what I feel like doing
Snack before bed - 4 deviled eggs( 8 pieces), 1 apple, 1 orange
Once a week, usually on Sunday, I'll make 2 lbs of fresh pasta and do a pasta dish for dinner with some kind of meat.
I'm getting into a bored food rut but this is has been keeping me slowly growing without gaining any noticeable fat.
What I want to know is about flavors, not whole meals or some sauce, but flavors that you like. I'm thinking of going with some kind of light refreshing flavor kick for a while just to change it up and I'm looking for some inspiration. The fried eggs with green chilies in the what are you eating thread got me thinking bout this.
Winter usually means rustic and earthy flavors like sage and thyme and roasted veggies, but I'm definitely leaning towards light and refreshing Mediterranean or south pacific Polynesian flavors. Light, crisp, acidic, citrus and a bit of heat.
Something that you can eat a ton of and keep going back for more to make the high volume per meal of food enjoyable rather than tolerable.
With people from all over the US and Globe on here, I'd like to know what you all like.
