Hi all Gents just a bit of catastrofuck here...

Now before anyone thinks from reading the title of this thread that I am shooting so much shit that I have blown my hematocrit and been refused for that reason and asked to see a specialist to fix this NO that is not the case!

I donated blood first time in nov 2015 and they took my sample to test few other things and then I get this letter.

My blood was tested for antibodies for maleria and it has produced a reactive result. My fucking bad luck !!!

I saw online american red cross allows one to donate after 12 months or so something like that but fucking NHS just says no for 'unforseen future'. I had Maleria as a little kid while I was in India as fas as I can remember. So I suppose these antibodies wont leave my system. Antibodies are here to stay forever correct ? GotGame , Stewie if you reading this please confirm. Is this how antibodies work ? cos if they wont leave my system as I am thinking then NHS wont allow be ever to donate !!

FYI I was off gear for a very looong period of time and only started back 3rd quarter of 2015 or so. I never needed to donate before this period as when I used I always did time on = time off, old school way to normalise the things so RBC, Hematocrit would calm down. I am very conservative in my usage and do not do fancy stuff. But I feel as I am getting litle older now it best I donate regularly like everyone does. It doesnt hurt right so why not.

I think some bros were talking about doing it home and stuff like that but some vets were saying its not safe to do this/ bad idea unless one knows exactly what they are doing (I read little whole ago on a thread here somewhere) so I am in a bit of dialemma.

Kindly advice what could I do ? Many Thanks

Your doctor can order a phlebotomy and they just dump the blood .people have this done all the time .

Hi Mike I have read about this done in America . but in UK i don't think I would get this. I am going to have to tell my doc about my usage right which I am not going to do. and he will be like u are going to be 35 what makes u think you would have high RBC or crit ?? is there a preexisting health condition u are aware of ? so he will be asking these sort of things. if I say no it's because of my using aas I suspect I need this done so he is going to say stop using illegal aas. NHS is not open minded like many American establishments unfortunately. just getting blood work is a nightmare.

Edit :- I have read about Phlebotomy procedure in UK and no chance they will do this on a healthy subject without a legit medical issue just so I can continue using safely .

What is your hematocrit at?

I have heard people can get it drawn off at anti aging clinics but they will charge you.

I do not know mate. I am due to have blood work in next 2-3 months.

I would see what it's at first before jumping to conclusions

I am not jumping to any conclusions mate. I am not saying that I suspect I have high crit or any health problem/ bad blood markers. I am just saying regardless what my crit levels are its still healthy and in my interest to donate once in 3 months considering I use gear. That's why I got keen to donate and wanted to make it a routine practice. thanks for your input. cheers

I've read recently there are things you can do to keep your RBC count down. One of those things is to eat a grapefruit daily. Grapefruit contains naringin which is a flavonoid that leads to a process of removing excess red blood cells called phagocytosis. Studies show that it's only effective when hematocrit levels are high. Also stay hydrated. Don't overdo foods high in iron and take a baby aspirin daily.
This is just a few things I read about. More info can be found online. Hopefully you can better answers from our more experienced guys but I thought I'd share a little of what I found out recently.

That's unusual but doesn't mean you can't dump blood. You'll just have to go through a doctor/hematologist to do it. I've had to do this before.

Big dog what did u exactly 'ASK' them to get them to dump the blood for u mate ? Did u have reveal about u using ?

I spoke to my brother in law who is a junior doctor currently and he is going through his final stages to become a general practitioner and he refused to do it for me at home. He said if I tell my GP he will just ask me to stop using it so it doesnt become a problem but NHS will only deal with it 'ONCE' it becomes a problem. Prevention is not their problem so I can continue doing something which is not recommanded by NHS but if it develops into a problem and I go to them then it becomes their problem and they will do whatever is necessary at that stage to fix me if needed to !!! cuntbags NHS and my brother in law is fucking useless good for nothing git.

My wife once had a sinus related issue & eczema and he refused to help said I am not allowed to give medical advice to family members !!

Giants thanks for your input mate.

I make hydration a top priority so I very rarely slip on my water consumption then what I intend to do . Also to keep kidneys filteration working in good shape especially with the food we consume and supps we take is very imp so I mainly focus on water for this reason. On my last blood work my renal function was in great working order :)

I intentionally take a multi vit mineral supp which is WITHOUT Iron &
I take 1 baby aspirin daily indeed.

so I do all these things regularly.

You are on the right track, it's actually healthy for even normal people to donate blood- gets rid of bound iron and old RBC's.
Young women have to be careful though I have seen a few faint during donation. I think the minimum requirement is a hemo of 15.0 and a max of 19.0. I actually met a female bodybuilder at the hemo, she of course had problems because the androgens she was taking cut of her natural blood release cycle, so her hemo was quite high like a male.

Here's an older thread I wrote about blood donation and the benefits

http://www.professionalmuscle.com/forums/professional-muscle-forum/12664-benefits-giving-blood.html

Unfortunately a lot of content doesn't apply to you, since you live in the UK and the medical system is much different.
Plus the malaria problem - I don't have an answer too.

Here in the US I have had both endos and PCP's write scripts to dump blood to reduce hemo from HRT sleep apnea issues, but the donation centers won't use it even though the fools would benefit from my rich blood. Nothing wrong with it, except levels were over 50.

I kept it down for years before this by donating twice every 60 days by going to the red cross and a hospital blood bank when heavy cycling.
Once I stopped the heavy stuff deca and test, even HRT test levels and iron rich diet coupled with sleep apnea would keep it above 50.

Currently and for the past 3 years I have seen a hemo specialist who keeps me below 55. I usually have to dump a pint every three months now even with a bipap and sub q test doses. He told me my body is conditioned to manufacture RBC's, had to go through bone marrow and some nuclear scans to test everything was normal, even took EPO levels. He charted ten years of blood work and said 55 was fine for me.

I guess the question would be if you do get blood work and it's high - what the doc's will do about it. I wish I could be of more help, but don't posses a real good working knowledge of the health system over there.
Good luck with it.

I can't donate because of a preexisting condition, so generally have to have a order written for a phlebotomy.

But I agree it is healthy to have it done

it surely isn't sth the best but why are you not drawing your own blood

IMO not the best advice Mrwednesday. :banghead:

There is little more than a few tubes of blood when donating.

My Doctor and I discuss gear all the time. I get a script to destroy blood when needed. Peace.

I'm aware. Was just a thought. Maybe as a last resort.

OK so what does this involves guys ? I mean I have never shot heroine lol so no IV exp but when they did it for me in Nov while they took few pints they stuck a needle in my vein and controlled the blood coming out with a little valve thing while the blood went into a plastic bag. I mean it didn't seem like rocket science or something which involves some serious Einsteining done to figure out how this is done.

I revealed that I "used to use" at the time (I was just on prescription TRT). I don't see any harm in saying that since he is going to wonder why your hema/hemo are high. I probably wouldn't say I still/will continue to use though. My hematologist ended up prescribing me 3 phlebotomies to get my levels back to normal
