Beets and hematocrit

I keep my hematocrit in check, and use superbeets powder every day.

I never heard of the brand you suggested. I use superbeets. One scoop equals 3 organic beets. Do you know how many beets are in one scoop of the brand you mentioned?
 
SuperBeets doesn't raise my hematocrit either. Spoke to Stewie on this and said not to worry about it. Take your beets. Your body will thank you for it.

I know you only got this idea because we were looking for reasons why my hematocrit was high in a thread I made, but you can rule this out.

Pro is actually a huge advocate of beets as well. He asked me to include them in my health arsenal. Too many benefits notto take them.
 
Beets are excellent fpr the liver and blood. Beet powders are great. Also try raw beets grated onto salads or juiced. Theres also fantastic raw, fermented beets **broken link removed** also a very effective probuotic and digestive aid

10 years ago I tried the beet thing and I my urine was blue/purple...scared the "beets" out of me.......kvh

Beets are one of the healthiest antioxidants and blood cleansers around. It seems like this brand has the most beet extract pure serving and its fermented. I'm trying to not increase my hematocrit anymore like most of us so I'm wondering what impact(if any) this could have as I'd like to add them.

Not sure but from research:

"you can buy for beetroot powder: 1.5% nitrate/gram of raw material. If a pre-workout contains 500 mg of Beta vulgaris L., it actually only yields 7.5 – 8.5 mg of naturally occurring nitrate from beets."

So it seems like the brand I posted not only has the most amount per serving but they are fermented.
 
It's probably better than Super Beets but it's so much more expensive too.
 
I have been using Superbeets, and always get the buy 2 get one free deal.
 
so whats the difference between these expensive brands and a cheaper buy from bulk powder supplements?

concentrate vs grounded up whole beets ?
 
For those using beets for hematocrit, what was your level before and after?

Did you closely monitor this to be sure it was the beets?
 
Beets are excellent..especially pre workout.
 
So the guys using superbeets are satisfied? I hear it advertised on the radio a lot around here and been wanting to add it to my supplementation.
