Hey guys. Plenty of berberine threads on here and I looked through a good portion of them, but could not find one specifically geared toward actual quantifiable results. Most of the posts just made dosing/frequency suggestions. I just proactively hopped on it today because I plan on running 10 iu growth for the remainder of the year.

Want to know what your experience has been as far as:
  1. A1C: how much of an effect, what dosing looked like, and how long before you saw measurable effects
  2. Fasting glucose: how much of an effect, what dosing looked like, and how long before you saw measurable effects
  3. Saw at least one post talking about benefits of berberine subsiding after a few months of daily use and the need to temporarily cycle off of it to regain benefit: is this your observation as well?
Thank you in advance!

Berberine is good and for sure help with control blood sugar. Will it lower your A1C? Yes, it will, but over time, not fast. Second thing it help, but not do the job. All this insulin mimetics, berberine, metformin, GLP etc. they are just add-on. Small part.

Biggest changes I see not only in myself, but also in my clients — when they do cardio regular, when they are active, when they eat clean diet. Low fat, high carbs, no snacking, no extra cheat meals, follow the plan. That’s the real thing that matter.
If you plan to use high GH — this is what you need. Not berberine, not metformin. You can even check my thread here on forum I use 20 IU GH per day and still have perfect insulin sensitivity with no berberine, no metformin, nothing - @TeaMan doing the same job. Just plan and discipline.

Thanks bro! I have been religiously hitting 45-60min cardio/day (7 days a week) since last summer and the effects have been dramatic, especially on my ability to stay lean. Normally when I start a bulk, I stop cardio and eat like shit - but not this time around and I am seeing results. Because nothing you take will impact insulin sensitivity immediately, I wanted to get on something to get ahead of the problem instead of waiting for it to become a problem :)

You can add 100mg of dihydroberberine to your last meal when your morning blood glucose levels start to rise slightly, and if you start eating very high carbs at some point, you can add an additional 2x500mg of berberine to your meals during the day.

Nothing was as great on my bloodsugar levels as when i implemented Stan Efferdings 10mins walks 3 times a day after meals.

Well part of the problem with the whole morning glucose thing is I have been experiencing the dawn effect for years. I wake up with BG in the high 90s. So I have to resort to measuring how my bg reacts 2-3 hours after a meal (any my a1c on bloodwork) instead of just measuring morning levels because my morning levels are not an accurate representation of a fasted baseline

Then try 200mg of dihydroberberine with your last meal(not just 100mg) and I'm almost sure that after 3-4 weeks your morning blood glucose will drop and it will help you neutralize the dawn effect - just try it and let me know in a month

Will do. Would you suggest I keep taking berberine during the other 2 meals?

I love berberine honestly. Use it 2x a day with higher carb meals, metformin at night, cardio 6x a week—even when pushing carbs with high gh and no insulin, my blood sugar levels are perfect Not sure on my current A1C, but fasted blood sugar usually high 80s low 90s

Why? If you have a much higher carb intake, you might want to consider adding it. Otherwise, if you only have problems with morning blood sugar, start with just dihydroberberine added to your last meal.

Wish I had the luxury to even try that. I work a full time job and 3-4 of my meals are at work. I could probably do that after dinner but that's about it. One of the big dogs suggested for me try walking after every meal to fight off insulin resistance but it's just not feasible with my schedule.

Walking pad could be helpful, although it’s kind of annoying to do in a dress shirt. Definitely add a fan if you did end up trying it

Its a luxury no doubt, but even just 1 brisk 10min walk will deff do something positive.

For me it has a big impact on my BG management. Just before i ditch my natty card my A1c was 5,5 and 4 months later on just 200mg test and 500mg berberine my A1c was 5,0 without changing anything on diet.

After 6 months while keeping a single dose of 500mg i went to my off season and with the addition of 3,5 IU HGH and another dose of 500mg berberine, despite the 700+gr carbs i was eating my A1c went to 4,9. So I'm definitely a big fan of it.

In this day and age, if I see/hear someone not doing daily or at least 5x a week cardio even off-season I find it hard to view it as anything other than pure laziness or lack of knowledge.

It is critical, especially for people like myself that work from home and do not get much activity.

That's great to know! I first learned about insulin resistance, checking BG, and checking a1c about 2-3 years ago and ever since then I have never been able to bring a1c below 5.1 (highest i've seen it is 5.4). Would really be nice to have it drop in the high 4's. Feels like anything in the 5 range is cutting it too close.

5 is an excellent point - especially if you keep it all year round
