Best Astragalus supplement (Quality & Value)

Where when and by whom? Not doubting you, just wondering if you can point me to where the discussion about the poor quality of the brand is?

I used the Nusapure brand 8 caps/day and my gfr went down from 70 to 69. I switched to Vitamin Shoppe brand and my gfr went from 69 to 76 .

A number of board members (myself included) and others on facebook have said their GFR didn't change using that brand. It changed using other brands though. I take Vitamin Shoppe brand.

I suppose if you actually have astragalus root, whatever that looks like, you would need 60g of it. I think most of the forms sold are concentrations.

Ok, apologies for my stupidity, but this is where my confusion lies!
I was going to buy astragalus powder as it seems more cost efficient that buying capsules.
However some are sold as "root powder", some as "root extract powder". The extract powders give a ratio (usually 10:1 or 20:1) then say "eqivalent to . . . ."
I was not sure how to work out how much equated to a dosage of 3-5g of astragalus!

I prefer going with an extract that has been standardized. NOW has a root and an extract as an example....i'd go with the extract.
