Best diet for cutting up

What about over eating protein whilst starving yourself of anything remotely healthy and nearly killing yourself with grams of dnp?

thinking about this again . . .

This was my training partner many years ago. He just turned 20
at the time of this contest, which he won (regional). Had been
training just a few years . . . full body, 3X per week. Mostly a
pre-exhaust routine, nothing fancy, just basic exercises. And zero
supplements of any kind. Heaps of potential this young man.
Ah, sweet youth.

When he dieted for this contest he did not change the foods he
ate, only the portion size. He ate what he ate when he was in his
‘growing phase.’ (Actually he lost very little, if any size when he
dieted for this show. Granted, he is not ripped and as vascular as
the competitors are today, but this was the look back in the
‘golden era,’circa 1970’s.) He never gave up any of the foods
he loved, like ice cream or chocolate cake or milk, still ate it,
he just did not eat as much of it. Pretty simple huh? And am not
saying he did not suffer a bit, and would have suffered more if he
wanted to get leaner, which he could have, but that was not,
as I said earlier, the look back in the day.

Anyway . . . we can speculate ‘till the cows come home . . . all the
what if’s, but it is what it was.

Really debating trying this IF hype going on but don’t know how i feel about not eating till noon. I’m a fukin breakfast guy and have been my entire life. Not a morning goes by without my eggs and toast:(

Fewer calories than you burn
enough protein to mantain your muscle masss
enough carbs to mantain intensity on workouts
enough fat to maintain healthy functions

There's clinical research that proves otherwise.

I find it very hard to believe if you eat the same amount of calories all day vs. a small window it would yield any different results.

I do it to give my body an opportunity to go through autophagy and apoptosis and I dont do it all the time, however, at the same time, I'm on keto diet which many people consider ketosis an autophagy hack, as it automatically kickstarts the body's cellular processes.

I did IF for 3 years, no need for it on gear. I use it to peak, thats about it.

Looks like I jumped the gun....I didn't realize we were talking about IF while on the sauce.

I misunderstood.

I assumed you were generalizing that IF is waste of time (in general)

I think it is a healthy way of life and has benefits, but OP asked about getting "cut up" and while IF is a way to get there, IMO theres better options
 
Not much to it other than eating less and moving more. Now how you do that is completely up to YOU.

I prefer to do an IF approach- eat my first meal at about noon, then every 2-3 hours until bed time. Some people can't stand this, so they should't do it.

The best diet is a sustainable one.

This is exactly how I diet. Has worked very well for me.
