Hey guys,

Curious about what you guys are all doing for dairy free protein powders. All the ones that i see at sprouts are hella expensive and dont know if they really taste all that great (i.e garden of life raw meal is disgusting). Ive tried a brown rice protein before and that was pretty good just not really affordable. What are your suggestions guys? I know trueprotein or whatever some of those brands are that let you build your own protein what have you guys done or found that is a great whey/casein alternative? Thanks!!

I really like True Nutrition's egg white protein. Clean taste, kind of bland and takes up most flavors well.

I have never tried this, but I know a lot of people like the rice protein. I've heard it is very easy mixing and quite watery, meaning ti won't have that milky consistency.

Others have suggested a blend of pea protein and rice protein and have said it has a very neutral taste and mixes well.

What flavor do you feel goes best with egg and do you mix with almond milk thanks

egg white protein would be best choice after whey

Could attempt to switch to whole foods instead of powders?

I been lazy lately nothing like a box eggwhites with 7 squirts of mio lol perfect milkshake to go with any meal

animal protein will be better than plant, so beef or egg would probably be best.

If you have to go with plant based then pea protein with some added leucine would be next best.

Although, I will say that pea protein tastes not so great and personally doesn't sit well in my stomach.

Muscle Meds Carnivore. Chocolate. Should be able to find 4lber for around $45 pretty easily. Good stuff.

Aaaannndd...first post done. Loving the site so far. Been just doing a lot of reading. Lot of good information to take in.

I have used the three listed and like them. For me they digest easy and are very affordable. I usually mix them with dairy proteins for a better texture and taste. Compared to the CFM whey ISO they are not bad. You could substitute egg and beef for the dairy.

Grams per 100g of powder
CFM
Leucine 9g
Isoleucine 6g
Valine 5.4g
Glutamic Acid 13.8g

Gemma
Leucine 8.72g
Isoleucine 3.93g
Valine 4.15g
Glutamic Acid 14.14g

Rice
Leucine 8.3g
Isoleucine 4.4g
Valine 6g
Glutamic Acid 17.2

Hemp
Does not compare AA wise but does offer some healthy fat and a good amount of fiber.

They are a nice way to keep the cost down for those working with a tight budget and really compare nicely IMO. All numbers taken directly from True Nutrition Website.

Is humapro really just EAA'S?

Is there any differences at all?

It is the essential amino acids (just about 5 grams of EAAs in one serving), bitter melon extract, coffee bean extract and trace amounts b-vitamins, calcium, magnesium and zinc:

This is one serving:

5.15g ** L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-Isoleucine, L-Lysine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Threonine, L-Methione, L-Tryptohan, L-Tyrosine, L-Cystine, L-Leucine Malate

Bitter Melon Fractional Extract, Coffee Bean Concentrate 210mg **

Vitamin & Mineral NNU Co-Factors: **
Vitamin B-1 0.7mg 50%
Vitamin B-3 9.0mg 50%
Vitamin B-6 1.0mg 50%
Vitamin B-12 1.5mcg 75%
Magnesium Citrate 87.5mg 50%
Calcium Carbonate 175mg 17.5%
Zinc Glucanate 3.75mg 25%

--------

Not really something special.... Just EAAs and a few vitamins

Steak 'n eggs are where it's at. Beef protein isolate, egg white powder (whole egg is oxidized yolk fat, no bueno), desiccated liver tabs and/or any other glandular tabs.
