BEST OTC Cold Medicine?

Dayquil severe during the day seems to help a bit but it won't make the sickness go away any faster
 
Why was amoxicillin mentioned twice in this thread? Colds are NOT bacterial in nature. Taking antibiotics does two things: 1. Ruins your gut microbiome. 2. Contributes to the rise of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria. Don't freakin take antibiotics unless you HAVE to!

Just got through a bad cold. Day quill and night quill to help with symptoms. I also stayed on Airborne tabs, basically ensuring your getting some Vit C in. AND LOTS OF SLEEP AND REST. It is hard to stay away from the gym with even a minor cold. But I have found by not taking time to rest and recover, it only makes the sickness longer and makes your feel worse at times and even more run down.
 
I find prevention via cellular hydration to prevent cold/flu viruses works best for me. Doses of glutamine, leucine, glycine, and alanine (15g, 15g, 3g, 2g - respectively) mixed in one liter of water consumed every other day or so completely prevents me from catching a cold even when traveling on planes or exposed to others with colds. Has worked for several years (9 and counting).

We used to call this the Swell drink and it is perfect to sip on during workouts...
