Best places to stay in Vegas ?

Getting married July 1 and immediately moving from northern California to south Texas. In between we want to stop somewhere for a mini honeymoon. Nothing crazy or too expensive, just a few days somewhere fun. We are thinking Vegas, but open to anywhere in between the two locations (coast of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Mexico). What are some fun spots/good places? Or any ideas you guys have

Cosmo or Wynn/Encore for Vegas.

Other options - I would go down to Laguna Beach and/or San Diego area.

Cosmo. Venetian. Only two hotels I enjoy there.

Sedona, AZ is amazing if you like hiking and outdoors. I got married on top of one of the red rocks. Pictures don't do it justice.
Grand Canyon is close by also. Can easily do both in a few days.

I’m a huge fan of Aria in Vegas. Huge fan.

Wynn is great, Cosmo is great.

I’ve been forced to stay at Excalibur, whatever that stupid pyramid is, and Circus Circus before - work for the first two, and a family trip when I was younger. Dear god never again.

Edit for a fun Vegas story:

Last time I stayed at Aria, we had a sick suite with floor to ceiling windows. After a long night at Fremont my wife and I came back around 2 AM and banged with the lights on for over a hour with the windows open. Drunkenly didn’t realize what we were doing. Free exhibition for anyone walking by

i guess im in the minority. Its vegas, where im going to spend 5% of my time in the room. I literally could care less where im staying. Give me the best deal ha.

I stayed at Caesars and the Horseshoe (formerly Ballys), and I am not always in my room but out and about.

If you want to be near/on the strip, don't stay at the Strat...Walking to the strip from there at night, you're going through ghetto area and likely to get jacked. I tossed a bag of smoke to some homeless dudes across the street when I was getting in the car to head back to the airport.

I would say Encore is a good spot to stay.

I would choose Santa Barbara over Vegas, especially in July. Vegas is dirty and hot as shit in the summer. However, if you DO choose Vegas I would stay at Ceasars and make sure you see the show Absinthe. I also recommend eating at the Golden Steer and Cleaver

It was nice there was a couple of really good restaurants in there, and very clean, and it was nice being able to take the Tesla tunnels over to the convention center.

Thank you, is there a party atmosphere there or is it more a chill place? Did you check out the pool at all?

I'm a degenerate gambler so while my friends or cousins who come with me love that everything is free I personally need to just stay away from Vegas. It's alluring because you're treated like a god, you own the casino nobody can say shit to you, but then you realize that you sure as shit paid for all of that and you could have taken a trip around the world and then some with the money you blew away instead of dumpy weed stinking hood rat vegas.

That being said I'm already booked for F1 in November I'm not missing that, they are flying me and my friends out. I just have to decide which casino I'm giving all my donations to...

I didn't check out the pool, it was more relaxed atmosphere, we were there for business so I didn't get to do a whole lot of stuff at the hotel.
