Best protein powders for sensitive intestines

TN's cold filtered whey iso

1stPhorm is awesome. The flavors are crazy good and I have zero GI issues with it and I am prone to GI issues with just about everything!

I would think PeptoPro might be worth a shot. It's predigested, unflavored, although a little pricey. It's the only whey that hasn't made me feel pregnant.

Try a plant based protein.

I've been using Musclefeast 100% Whey Isolate since 2010.
I use the Unflavored/Unsweetened Isolate.
It's 26 Grams of Protein per 28 Gram Scoop, and Lactose Free.
It tastes Great, and Dissolves easily........................ JP
P.S.
When I started using them, they were still selling their Protein in Pouches, and not the Containers they use now.
Same here....been using them forever. I have a friend at the gym who had his GB removed and was having issues....I turned him on to them and he's been good since.

I use a lot of their products.

26? Says 20-21

Thanks Elvia for the recommendation. I have not tried the synthepure. I typically have no issues with any protein powders unless they are poor in quality which I do not buy anymore. A friend from the gym was telling me how he was having issues with his usual whey isolate and asked if I could recommend other types.

The GAT's plant protein sounds like it may be worth a shot. I was looking at the ingredients and they look good. Do you mix 2 scoops in water? The taste is acceptable?

Do you feel you can still build muscle if you were to use this source of protein a couple of times a day in place of whey isolate?

Definitely. That plant protein includes good sources and a full spectrum of amino acids so you will be gtg. I have only tried one flavour and it was weird at first but I soon began to love the taste. Most plant proteins taste awful so I always mention this as I actually enjoyed the GAT one. In the past when I bought individual plant proteins I usually threw away the bag/tub but the GAT one I 100% think it's worth a try. I always mixed it in water as well.

Sounds off...
It is. They are probably looking at the wrong product. Maybe looking at the blend or grass fed versions.

Their whey isolate is
20 - 21.5 grams (depends on flavor) of protein per 24 gram serving. I know cause I just looked at mine in the cabinet. Unflavored contains the most per scoop.

If you get tired of the standard flavors, Syntrax nectar is a great protein to try out.

Look at the 100% Isolate.
And it has to be the Unflavored/Unsweetened version.

Then you'll see that it is 26 Grams of Protein per the 28 Gram Scoop....... JP
P.S.
Just got an Email from Sean @ Musclefeast.

All the Proteins, including the Hydrolyzed and Casein are now "Certified Grass Fed" plus "Hormone and Antibiotic Free".

Almost all whey gives me digestive issues and discomfort. I think some other members have referenced the fact that a lot of it is probably not really 100% whey isolate.

Isopure gives me zero issues. I gave up on whey for a while but now I can drink it daily at anytime.

I use to use Isopure Only.
Till Musclefeast opened up.

You should check them out.
They only make Small Batches that are Tested.
It's Kosher, in the Jewish Tradition.
And now it's All Grass Fed/Hormone and Antibiotic Free............... JP
P.S.
The Company was started by a Father for his Bodybuilding Son.

Yeah....I remember my first order with them.

Sean actually answered the phone (This was before they took orders on the web). I think we talked almost 1/2 an hour. I actually had to get him off the phone because I had other things to do.

But you could tell the passion was there for sure!

Those of you that have trouble digesting whey protein or those of you who have Crohn's Disease/Ulcerative Colitis/IBD or similar, what's the best type of protein powder you have found that helps and does not cause any digestive issues?

What are some of the best options out there?

ISOFLEX. I started using it a few years back because the other stuff made me bloated.

My daughter deals with UC and celiac disease ... any WHey or dairy product will screw her up

But she uses True Nutrition's Rice based proteins with no trouble at all. I don't use a lot of protein powders anymore but I was surprised that it was not bad at all and it absolutely digests much easier for me as well.

they even warn you it is a little "gritty" but its really not a big deal
