Dextrose, Waxy Maize, maltodextrin etc?

BTW, the spell check thing says maltodextrin isn't a word. WTF.

no seriously... i don't know why, but dextrose or grape juice gives me horrible gas... especially at the amounts i need post workout... i'd say they're all good, but choose the least one that gives you stomach problems.
 
I prefer waxy maize way over anything else. Maltodextrin and dextrose are a distant second in terms of how I feel. Better with absorbing PWO aminos and protein as well.
 
So, you guys are just mixing that waximaize with your protein shake ?
 
I do 2 scoops waxy with all my aminos and whatever I take post workout... vitamins, etc. Mix mine with crystal lite.

20 min later...

50-75g whey.

60 min later...

big meal.

Is it better to split up your meal like you mentioned or down everything (Carbs/Protein) PWO ?
 
Yes for instance this is how i run my PWO shake and please post if im doing something wrong.

On the way home ill drink my WMS (80g) with bcaa's (15g) creatine (10g) and beta alanine (2.5g) mixture, 300mg alpha lipoic and cinnamon caps.

When i get home 40 more grams of WMS and 60 WPI one more scoop BCAA's
(15g)

Check out professionalmuscle.com for approximately 30 minutes (this is necessary to keep anabolism going) JK

Big meal with some kind of slow digesting meat and medium to slow digesting carbs, flax and whatever i can get my hands on

There is your blueprint. Thats the best way to do it. In my opinion this answers most questions about how to use WM.

Waximaize is a good source of post-workout carbohydrate. There are more and more products surfacing that have waxymaize included. Some of the cheaper versions are Primaforce's Carb Slam and IDS' Waxymaize. Vitargo is by far the higher quality product, but a company named Energ8 based out of the UK has sole rights to the formulation now. Nutrex's version is undergoing a re-formulation and a name change, so it will no longer contain vitargo (just waxymaize). If any of you are going to the Arnold, Energ8 is going to have a booth there. They are marketing their formulas more towards endurance athletes, rather than bodybuilders/lifters.

What I was hearing is that Energ8 sold exclusive North American rights for Vitargo to Anthony Almada's new company, and he plans on releasing a bodybuilding product line based around pure vitargo....

Waxymaize: I get it from true protien, the best and really cheap.
But PWO is 175 g W/M with BCAA, Creatine, Leucine

20 minutes later is a WPI shake, just water and protien.

About an hour is a big meal with carbs and protien.

THe reason you take waxy first and seperate is casue it's a high molecular weight carb and it by passes the stomach and ingests very quickly in the intestines. Hence taking your creating and bcaa with it by passes stomach acid and causes absorbtion very fast. relpacing the glycogen just used during a very intense workout.

If you add too much to waxy it was change the absorbtion rate, I think it is a ration of added grams, 15 to 20, per 75 g of waxy is fine.
