I have used Cyber-Rights for a while now. But every now and then I forget to log in every so often and my account gets de-activated for not loggin in with in 3 weeks. When this happens you have to creat a new email account or pay for the service.

Are there any secure Email providers who do not require you to log in every 2-3 weeks in order to keep your account activated.

I was recently told that Hush/Cyber-Rights has a back door built in.

Perhaps not a back door, but simply cooperation.

Its a shame PGP didn't get used by more - probably due to laziness.

There is a back door on 99.9% of encrypted main stream email systems on the net. With the other .1% getting a cease and desist letter from the US government before the days end if they do not build in a back door. The only thing you can use is an older version of PGP or ZIP or RAR your message with encryption. US owns the internet, and internet2 so it controls it, even though it is supposed to be our last place on earth without some type of parenting.

secure mail options

A BRO AT CS POSTED THIS, WE KNOW OF A FEW OF THESE ALREADY BUT THERE OPTIONS

**broken link removed** - server in Japan, costs $20/month or $80/year but a $50-60 special for the year right now

http://www.securenym.net/ - server in Texas, costs $60/year

http://www.mutemail.com/ - server in Nassau, Bahamas, costs $10/month or $70/year

**broken link removed** - server in Germany, free of charge

http://www.safe-mail.net/ - server in Israel, free of charge

The last two, look damn good.

anonymous looks reallly good as no ip addys are shown/expressed in headers or any part of the email. you can make it totally anonymous as well and it will self destruct in 48 hrs

and of course you could download a pgp program

SecureNym does not log IP's or user activity. For those desiring total anonymity, subscriptions can be paid by money order. SecureNym doesn't maintain copies of messages, including backups. Once a message has been deleted, it is gone forever.

Hey Bro, As Kaiser said. NO company is safe. These companies will give information to LE faster than you can blink! Yes even if it's not a free account. All these countries where these email servers are based out of will comply with the "MLAT treaty". Here is a link of countries that comply with "MLAT treaty"

Your right! Most will give up any info they can even without a subpoena. All it takes for some is a phone call. They fear those in power so they would rather bend over and comply with their requests.

Regardless of what you email service you use anything really sensitive that you don't want anyone else to see should be encypted before you file it away. Nothing is 100% guaranteed but that doesn't mean you should make it easy for those with prying eyes.

It looks like www.mailvault.com is this best bet after looking at the MLAT list.
Mailvault's server is in Germany and it says that there was a treaty signed in 10/03 but it also says that it's "not in force".

I beleive what Kane basically said. If they want you, they got you, but why make it any easier for them?

a potential new friend recomended safe-mail.net

Every public and even most private emails have a "back-door" invite that can be accessed. Read up on some code or find out how to contact those private situations. Good luck to you!

try nodns.org, but you have to encrypt your self, there is no such thing as free encryption sevises.

**broken link removed**
But giving the circumstances of some situations it is legal for them to give your information away
