When do you guys think is the best time to do offseason cardio and why?.....

Personally I have been doing mine post workout, immediately followed by a shake. I figure your body doesn't know when the workout is over so not having a shake immediately after weights is ok.

ive had my best results (staying lean and putting on some muscle) post workout,,,,workout,,,1 school whey +bcaa glutamine,,,,cardio,,,,shower,,,then eat a whole meal protein/carbs. i also think im staying leaner while gaining has to do with not taking in all those simple sugars postworkout,,,to spike insulin. just started trying peptides too into this mix,,,so workout,,,peptides/shake/bcaa/glutamine,,,cardio,,,,an hour later protein/carbs whole food

In the morning on an empty stomach. Too many reasons to list.

15-30 mins cardio, post workout before shake, have shake IMMIEDIATELY UPON COMPLETION OF CARDIO...your not tryin to get shredded when doin cardio in the offseason, so therefore no reason for empty stomach upon waking cardio

In the morning on empty stomach. It's how I do it, and I receive great results from doing as such.

Fasted AM or post cardio as a close second-best.....both give good fat-burning due to low-glycogen stores in the muscle, and both help rev the metabolism for a good while.

In theroy, anyway :D

This turned out to be pretty interesting...I was against doing fasted cardio because I am afraid of not being able to build the most amount of muscle possible.....but I might have to give it a shot.

If you are worried about burning muscle, pound some BCAA's before your cardio session.

If your goal is primarily fat loss---first thing in the morning is always best. It jump starts your metabolism and your body uses fat for its main fuel source.

I do 45 min. in the morning only. I only do this when I am getting ready for a show. I feel so much better doing cardio on no food.

PWO with 10 humapro tabs prior to it and a karbolyn, leucine, BCAA, and creatine PWO shake immediately following my cardio. :)

I assume your in a least a slight caloric surplus during the off season. In that case I don't think timing matters much. The net energy will work out regardless.

If you do HIIT, the timing is little more of an issue because it can affect your training recovery.

1st thing in the am I find is best for me, boosts my appetite during the day, makes it easier to put down food when bulking.

When I had a commercial stepper at the house I would just do fasted cardio. After getting rid of it I just do pwo cardio. I'm not a competitor and I find as long as it gets done, that's all that matters

fasted in the morning is the best for fat loss. when im serious i do two a day on the days i don't lift, lift days are cardio in the am
