Better Highlander

For fantasy tv/movie fans, which was the better Highlander, the original movie, or the spin off tv show? I enjoyed the movie, but I thought the TV show did a better job building the characters and had great story lines.

I discovered the original movie first so it may make me impartial but the tv show remains popular today.

Curious as to what did you think of Charlize Theron's "Old Guard" that completely jacked the concept but crossed it with enough "Wolverine" so they can't get sued, lol....

I didn't think Christopher Lambert was anything special but i still enjoyed the movie and especially Queen's involvement. I also thought Clancy Brown was great as the villain. He's usually great in everything he's in. From what i saw of the show, it was pretty good too but for me the first Highlander will always hold a special place in my heart for the simple fact that it's taking place in NYC in the 80's and features Queen.

I agree with you. He made that movie. Especially the church scene. Perfect villain.

yeah that guy was a great bad guy but the highlander with sean conery was by far the best!!! lol

The Movie. It had a conclusion but didn't allow for a logic sequel (that didn't stop them).

Let's not forget Sean Connery! Could have casted someone better than Lambert.

The Hunted is also a great sword movie with Christopher Lambert in it. Samurai, ninjas, fun stuff lol

The opening scene of the movie.. panning wide shot of a wrestling match that zooms in all the way to just his old ancient eyes. Draws you right into the story.

The original for sure. A classic. Great music and locations. But the movie is a real heart
breaker for me. I used to break down every time I watched it. The theme of not ageing
while others do around you just gets to me. I can't imagine what it would be like to be
in his position.
