They are definitely overrated, especially when dudes are doing them every 4th week? like thafuck? That said, I think most people that do utilize them make the mistake of going light weight, and higher reps, when it is much more effective to keep loads the same as normal training, and just reduce volume significantly.I’ll give it a listen later… but honestly I’ve never in my life programmed in a deload.

I like the way @homonunculus has you doing them in fortitude training.I always came back stronger doing them his way as opposed to taking a couple weeks offThey are definitely overrated, especially when dudes are doing them every 4th week? like thafuck? After competing for so many years and now switching to bodybuilding I whole heartedly agree. I think just taking an extra rest day is better and helps recover more for bodybuilding than a true deload. Especially if it's the last training day before say the weekend when someone has 2 days off. Now gives 3 days off. I'd rather do that every now and then as needed than program in every 4th week or something. I try to use a vacation or have limited gym access for a bit to take more than to deload.Deloads are excellent and necessary for powerlifting and true strength training for bodybuilding not so much.
Get YouTube premium, well worth it.Im a huge fan of skip - I find him entertaining to listen to (which is something as most bodybuilders are boring as sin. Sorry, that's just the truth).
So I gotta complain - skip motherfucker, get this on Spotify! I can't listen to YouTube when I'm out running/cycling/tabbing.
