A BIG THANK YOU to ALL who have offered your support and help. MRI revealed completely torn distal. Surgeon used endo button as he said it had a higher success rate. Had surgery this morning at 9am till 10ish. All went well. Received nerve block for pain so I'm still kinda out of it but I'm doing fine overall. Follow up on 22nd. Normal recovery(God speed) expected. I'll try to keep everyone updated. Once again I just want say THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT! I WILL COME BACK STRONGER , BETTER IN JESUS NAME!
Awesome! Endobutton is the way to go.
make sure they do it endobutton....the other way is out of date now. I tore mine too a year and a half ago. I was doing bicep stuff very light with it again in three weeks after surgery. I had the texas rangers doc do mine..
best thing to do is find out who the sports ortho is for your closest pro sports team basically. They actually know their shit
There are actually 4 ways of doing it now, but only 2 are commonly used, endobutton and mitek anchor.
If a doctor ever says don't repair it, see another one! Not repairing it is OLD and out of date, with current techniques it is always repairable (except proximal lateral detachment...)
