Big olive oil scam exposed


Shouldn't be cooking with t if you get real one just pouring it on salad. I would look into Rice Oil from California Rice Oil Company as alternative for cooking.

The California Olive Ranch brand did good in the review. All 0's. They sell that brand at Walmart.

Naturopathic Medicine, the science with nutritional knowledge and training, has been recommending for many years to avoid all type of oils. The reason is very simple, oxidation. Even if you get the highest quality most expensive EVOO, just by sitting in a bottle in your shelve, the reaction with oxygen is causing it to oxidize. You are ingesting all those free radicals contributing to inflammation in your body and more oxidative damage.

All the "olive oil" craziness begun with the so called "mediterranean diet" which was an ERROR. The data used to create that diet was corrupt and inaccurate in the mediterranean. It turns out the societies that live the longest in those areas, DO NOT CONSUME olive oil.
 
It's not about taste or which cooks better, it's about the enormous number of health benefits we think we are getting from EVOO that we might not actually be getting. I've been using the organic Kirkland Signature EVOO in the big plastic bottle. Don't know whether I've been getting hosed or not.
 
Use real organic lard or real organic salted butter bro. Cant get any healthier and delicious than that.

Thats the way great grandpas used to cook and never heard of alzheimer, diabetes, arteriosclerosis, dementia or any of those modern things.

I went to school for chemistry and my biochemistry professor, a man with several PhDs, always mentioned that vegetables oils are terrible for you. I never had much time to discuss why with him he was always super busy.

When you cook with them is even worse. Oils burn very easy. That chemical reaction there is pure poison. Lard and butter can burn too, but at a very higher point than oils. Still, if you cook with lard or butter, make sure it doesn't go beyond a "gold" color in the pan.

Any processed oil in a container will oxidize. Is coconut oil for example healthy? Yes, EXTREMELy healthy, IF you open the coconut yourself and eat it. Thats how always has been. The luxury of having it in a plastic bottle is a recent marketing trick to profit just like those fancy "coconut water" cartons full of sugar.

I wasn't saying they didn't exist. Of course they've been there for many generations. I was referring to the rate of occurrence. Today we live in a world in which is somewhat "normal" to develop some form of diabetes and somehow we "expect" to develop alzheimer because thats what happens when you're old. It wasn't like that before. When I was a kid I never heard of alzheimer. Never heard of erectile dysfunction. My grandfather and my own father were having healthy sex in their 60's and 70's. Viagra didn't exist, nor was needed. Never saw a member of my family or any relative obese. Diabetes was something fat people who ate sugar every day had.

Same with autism. When I was a kid it was an exceptional curiosity to hear of a kid that had autism. Today 1 in 4 kids are born with some degree of autism.

IT ALL, ABSOLUTELY ALL, comes down to essential nutrients.
 
I can't believe it's as bad as it is. I try to use John's grass fed butter, coconut, and palm oil reco's for cooking and eating.

You obviously haven't been in the south of Europe very often... over the years I've spent literally full months straight in either Italy, Greece, Spain or Portugal... THEY ALL LIVE ON OLIVE OIL!!!

Not a single meal without it actually, they put it absolutely EVERYWHERE, even on their skin and hair in some cases. Last August, I precisely stayed the whole month of August in a small Sicilian village surrounded with olive trees (80% of the farming lands in Sicily are dedicated to olives, most of the remaining ones to lemons)... the factory was 500m from my house, so every day we had our new supply of fresh (couldn't be any fresher than this!:eek:) cold pressed extra virgin olive oil... and it was about the same for every person in the village... trust me, they DO consume olive oil... and not in small amounts.

But of course, it's clearly not the same product as those crappy oils you find in stores thousands of miles away in big cities... :eek:
 
I never understood why People try to overcomplicate things.

Eat this, Not that. Eat this, not that.

Just eat High quality protein (Eggs, lean meats and and fish)

Eat complex carbs(Fruits, Veggies, whole grains)

For fat if your eating whole eggs, meat and salmon your getting all the fats you need, no need to Overeat Fats from a jar.

Only drink water.

I do this and never had a Health problem. I just simply remove man made foods( Dairy and Gluten foods). It just works out.

i try to find the nastiest, pulpy, floaty shit....its almost
always good shit...

good olive oil should not burn/or scratch the back of your throat.

So I should be cooking with a piece of pork salt like my grandma does. Go to freezer cut piece pork salt off slab and throw it in with whatever I'm cooking. :confused:
