Bigger Calves

Hey Tenny,i had the same problem with my calves and traps,i could use a lot of weight but got few results.Both muscles are very strong because of there short range of motion.Holding the top for a 2-3 second count seems to be helping
 
I like what tenny said... same story for me... never had great calves till i took legs seriously then I took an obsession to calves because..... they are like forearms... everyone can see them..

I find that higher reps works.... and holding them for a few seconds at the top...then negetives.. then back up top and hold... then fast sets...

lots of fucking with them... lots of sets.. but not a lot of rest between the sets... and they can be trained often.. i love training calves.. once i saw them growing nice, i got into it!
 
For a period of time calf training seemed non-existent for me, I started to feel like "why bother, you either have them or you don't right" so i would skip training them every now and then, which became once in a while, then that evolved into hardly ever, recently I measured myself, my calves are almost an inch bigger than my arms.

yup!
i'm not blessed with good calves, but i sure as hell made them match my legs without even using weights...
high rep work with my own bodyweight (one leg at a time while standing) doing as many slow sets as i can til i can't take it anymore, then use the wall to assist me going up, then when i can't even do that i jump up and down on that same leg til my eyes tear... then do the other leg...
3-6 sets
3 or more times a week.
do this for 1 month... you'll love it.
