If this has been beaten to death I'm sorry. I did a search and nothing came up so I wanted you opinions.
I just read Will Harris interview in MD...I've also read it from A. Cherry and others that if you do heavy squats and dead lifts your waist will get bigger.
I've also worked/dieted with someone who tells all his clients that...and some already have wide waists without doing the exercises!
IMO it's bull shit...it's more of a genetic thing. I squat and dead lift with personal best weights this entire off-season and my waist didn't change a bit. When you add total size to your physique your waist can and will change, but I don't think those two lifts alone cause the change.
