does any1 have 1 of these and do they like it? i was just wondering how accurate they are about tracking bodyfat?

If it is a elctro body fat analyzer then it is shit! I have not ever seen consistent results with them. I bought one a while back and it would read 5-10 point difference in bodyfat %. that is a huge difference. It would depend on your feets moisture and all kinds of stuff. If it was consistent it would be helpful even if it wasnt accurate but it is not consistent. Get some accumeasure calipers They are cheap and at least consistent.

I have a bodyfat scale, and it is ridiculously inaccurate. It once said I had 47%bf, with visible abs, lol.
I get a completely different reading every time, even if I do it again seconds later.

Every scale that does bodyfat % I have ever come across has been an absolute joke. I personally don't feel it's even remotely possible for them to give an accurate reading, the technology is nowhere near up to snuff.

Only way to do it is buy yourself a caliper kit and learn how to do it on your own. Have your wife or girlfriend get the places you cant reach. Its not really hard to learn how, but it is a science when it comes to getting really accurate with it. I would say as a beginner you can come withing 2-5% of your true BF. Those scales and electrical impedence devices are shit like everyone else said. I had once measure my BF at about 8% and used one of those devices that you grip with both hands. The device said that I was like 25% bodyfat. Like others said, I had all visible abs and veins poppin everywhere. I was definetly sub 10%. Dont waste your money.

You can buy a cheap set of plastic calipers along with a manual really cheap. Do a search on the web.

I just bought digital calipers and asked how best to use them.

Someone on the board suggested taking the average of three readings and add 3%. The result seemed consistent with what I believed my body fat % would be.
