Anyone else in the major impact zone for this storm? We are supposed to be getting 16-20" Sunday with temps in the single digits and wind chill -10ish. I am 1hr northwest of Philly.

Stores were a mess. I just needed my usual so I cooked up extra and did all the laundry. Snow doesnt matter. Can only do so much until it is cleared. But it will suck if we lose power for a while. We live in a development. They do a great job clearing it fast and keeping it clear as it snows but last time it was like 14" there was only so many places to put all the shoveled snow. I remember the blizzard of 1996 when we got 30". They were dumping dump trucks of snow on football fields and streets were covered for a week straight.

Stay warm, well fed and safe.

You know I am. Really hoping for my kids, I hope it's even a fraction of what we got in 96. That was such a fun time as a young teen, especially growing up in the middle of nowhere in the woods of NJ.

Luckily I train in my garage gym, but holy shit it's been brutal out there this past week. Space heater doesn't do shit when it's 10 out haha

We just got a dusting of snow but the temp with wind chill was 35 below.

I’m right around Philly. Sick of this shit haha. Besides shoveling I have to knock the snow off of 200 trees I planted

I was 8 for 96 but I remember it very well. Hopefully not much ice hits us. Be safe

I live in the path but we are only supposed to get ice storms no snow. I'm just hoping we don't lose power. If we do get any sort of ice everything will shutdown completely until it's gone. This area is not ready for ice storms or any amount of snow.

Back in 92 or 93 we had a couple of storms that dumped 36-48 inches of snow and we head record low temps. It didn't get above zero for a few days, and normal low temps rarely would get into the teens. We had so much snow that year you could walk from the snow onto your roof. I was only in 7th grade and that was one of the best winters ever.

We are suppose to get 12-18 inches from the storm. I’m hoping the southern states don’t get the ice they are predicting. I’ve heard some reports some spots will receive 1-2 inches of ice. That will be devastating

Im in Tucson AZ

On a serious note, I hope you guys do well in the storm.

I dont know how you guys do it every year, I guess you are used to it, to a degree.

I'll be dealing with this f#^#^ bullshit too. 2 things that literally make me lose my cool and want to smash things...being snowed in and no power. Call me a pussy but my head has been fcked up all week knowing it's coming. Plan is get a hotel with a fitness room so I can atleast have power and water and get steps on a treadmill. Taking my gear and food...power atleast i know i can watch the games Sunday and not flip my shit being cooped up. You'd think in 2026 with glp's and all this ai they could assemble a reliable power grid so we don't have mass power outages.

Blizzard on 93, I remember it very well. There was also back to back storms somewhere around 2007 or 2008 that each dumped 2’ of snow, it was a mess. My daughter is still in Pittsburgh so I’m hoping it’s not as bad as they’re predicting. For me, I’ll be parked on the white sand in 85 degree weather being happy I don’t have to deal with that bullshit anymore lol

Snowmageddon is coming! Stay safe out there guys.

Where I am there is going to be 12-18" of the powdery stuff that's like dust and when that blows around visibility drops.

Still got my COVID adhoc home gym kit in the basement, if the gyms and roads are fucked, we aint missin a day out here. That said, I thought it was funny when COVID first touched down. So many people used it as an excuse to get lazy, fat, and sloppy. I was never a home gym guy, but the day it hit, I was stationed in Belgium, EU took it a lot more serious with lockdowns. All gyms closed, and the police threatened them if they didn't. I immediately when to the hardware store and bought up as much shit as I could to build an impromptu gym. I actually made progress during the 3 months of closures. When shit re opened, I rolled right back in like whaddup muhfuckers. Not a flex, it was just funny how everyone handled the situation.

Not much you can do with a power grid when 10 pounds of ice is on power lines and snaps them.

In NC we usually get ice. I would be fine with snow but can't deal with the glass roads and sidewalks driveways etc.

Expecting around 12in! Ran to the food store this morning for a couple items, did majority of it Thursday, good thing.. Never seen so many cars at 6am and the shelves had some slim pickings. Glad I went earlier in the week.
