I'd like to see honey done. I've read conflicting info on honeys effects on BG.
but this is like those logs where guys test a new peptde while on grams of other gear.
the only way to definitively arrive at the correct numbers would be to only consume fruits, only consuime veggies, and only consume starches. then take respective readings. this will nullify the differences in digestive times vis a vis the other food types, eg fats and proteins.
seriously.
Do you have a good place to buy the test strips? I wanted to buy a glucometer but the dang test strips are over $100 a box at the pharmacy.
gun smith do you take r- ala or ala i would love to see results with that as i think it could lower blood sugar aswell ,, but in higher doses maybe try it for one meal if possible 300mg for 5 grams of carbs so 40 g complex 1500 ala or500 r-ala ...just to see what the results are as i have been doing this will all my carb meals for a while now and am able to gain while maintaining 6-8 % bf
OK , so the question was posed to me
"that's a great study but what about the sugar conversion for the sugar in the fruit? it's still gonna make you fat right?"
I'm not the brightest star in the sky but I was thinking it diden't matter where the carbs came from if it were oat of pure dextrose , all that mattered was the actual effect it had on the blood glucose.
am I out of line with this thinking ??
ive seen so e brilliant minds check in on those post from time to time would somebody please throw this poor ol redneck for Missisippi a bone here?
Spike is different once fats and protein are added. That's why the glycemic index is bs.
so if the body turns carbs to glucose and any excess glucose is stored as fat , does it matter where the glucose comes from weather it be oranges or potatos of straw berries or brown rice??
if the blood glucose spike and duration are the same or very close does it really matter??
I sure would like to hear some other opinions
