Is the consensus on the Beta blocker with mild sides going to Bystolic? I was thinking of running that while on cycle if I do show again...
I would be curious to see which ARBs and ACEis are good for the kidneys and which ones are not...
All ace's and arb's protect your kidney's. Anything ending in -artan is an arb, -pril is an ACE's. They write for lots of ARB's now since most of them are brand, but there's not many good reasons to not go with an ACE first, and only change is there are sides. ACEs and Beta blockers (end in -lol) have some of the most evidence that they improve quality and length of life behind them.
But for someone without a compelling indication (diabetes, post MI, etc..) HCTZ is first line therapy I believe. If I needed to be on something I'd run that alone, and only if it didn't handle the job move to an ACE + HCTZ
Someone mentioned red rice yeast, I think that naturally has a little of one of the statins in it (pravastatin maybe?). Statins are for cholesterol, not bp.
Precontest doesn't seem like the best time for a BB Max, it's going to interact with any stims, clen, etc...
