Blood Test Question

Im not sure if this is the right forum to post this question, so apologies if it is not and I will remove if needed.

Im a disabled vet and came off of a few years of pain meds about 18 months ago now. I couldnt tolerate it any longer and broke down and had to go see my pain management doc today for the first time since. Since its been so long the doc now wants to run normal blood tests but ive been running var and test. How long do I need to be off before taking the test so that the doc doesnt kick my ass?

depends, what is he testing for? how long have you been on? how much?

Var has a half life of 8 hours. In just a few days there is only a minute trace left in my opinion. I dont know what your dosage was but i think you have nothing to worry about. I also doubt he is testing for that anyway.

I have a test from my doc coming up - but he is specifically asking for test levels. What I took had a half life of 14 days. So i have to wait months for it to clear
