Blood Work (estrogen) and T/E Ratios

Been running 250mg tests E and 150mg TPP Q3D, so about ~800mg/week and had labs drawn recently. Not using an AI.

Things looked good but e2 was interesting and came back at 226.1 pg/ml with a male reference range 10-55 pg/ml.

I've felt good at this level and usually have in he past as well but then took .2mg adex to see how I'd do and ended up with a crashed sex drive for several days after when it had been high before that.

Talked with several doc friends who are bodybuilders and dabble in the HRT world about this and they said as long as I feel good and everything else looks good that they wouldn't worry about it.

Goes along with what I've always suspected when it comes to many guys needing more of a T/E ratio than any specific number. Interesting nonetheless so thought I'd share.

I've heard 25-50:1 is pretty ideal. No one is going to have any real evidence to support either way IMO.

Yeah definitely. Mine is a little out of the norm with about a 17:1 ratio but see a lot of guys get stuck on certain numbers or ranges when that isn't always the best way to evaluate things and stuff can be highly individual

I think this is going to be completely individual. You hear some people that say you need to be in range and some that say ratio. Wherever you grow and feel best is ideal IMO.

Did you get the sensitive estrogen test? Could just be off labwork.

Just had a normal panel drawn but this is where all of my blood work has landed in the past when I feel good so no reason to question it really

I'd agree, with the caveat that we just don't know what long term effects of higher estradiol will cause, health-wise.

but yes, I do the same with myself and my patients. If estradiol high, but they feel great, no nipple tenderness/water retention/libido issues, etc, then no need to just treat a number

AI's, as we know, have their own issues. damned if you do, maybe damned if you don't?
