Family doctor order labs and the TRT doctor also ordered labs two different labs quest and LabCorp same bottle waited the same amount of time for both tests a week apart same dose and my levels are 800 different on both scores did everything the same exact for both test nothing change why would my scores be so much different when everything stayed the same?

kind of strange how the numbers are all over the place when everything remain the same

On the labcorp test i usually come in the low 800's. Everything be the same. But i have seen it as low as low 600's to 1200. Could be lab error. And/or the body doesn't always work like a perfect machine. I don't get excited about 1 off's.

Two different labs, two different testing methods. LabCorp usually runs a standard immunoassay and just caps it at “>1500.” Quest ran MS (mass spec), which is more accurate. The “direct free T” test is also trash for enhanced guys, especially if SHBG is low.

You’re on test and deca too — nandrolone can mess with certain assays.

If you want consistent numbers, stick to the same lab, same test method, and pull blood at the same point in the week. Otherwise it’ll look all over the place even when nothing changed.

I appreciate it thank you. I was just curious personally why it was such a big difference. I’ve seen it before where they both do not lineup LabCorp and quest one of the labs have to be way off. I’ve been of a cycle for the last three months. Quest always comes in low from my experience

Appreciate it thank you. I’ve seen it before with both of them. I have two different doctors that use two different labs. I was just curious to see which one was probably accurate. I haven’t ran in the 600s in years.

Mass spec (Quest) is more accurate IMO.

Labcorp and Quest have different ranges for their MS tests. So the same sample will have a different number with the same test. Where a person is in the range matter more then the number. They use different machines , protocols, calibration methods etc. So they can end up with different numbers for the same blood sample.
