for some reason the Red Cross pushes double donation, but for those of us with high hematocrits/hemoglobin they don't allow it.
I haven't been to the Red Cross in a LONG time they are vein buthcers, never seen "professionals" that can't stick and bleed a garden hose vein, they even try to move the needle around while it's in there.
I go to a hospital blood bank, pros all the way.
Back in the day I used to donate a pint a month - once every 58 days at red cross and once at hospital blood bank. No way around it on heavier doses of test/deca and sleep apnea.
now it's treated the apnea - I use sub q test to keep it down, and still have to be bleed every 3 mos when I get to 55.
I see a hemotologist and he stated the body gets conditioned/used to carrying a high hemo, even when off androgens.
Reduced iron, and cardio have been things that have helped to keep it low in the past.
Always go in hyper hydrated when donating if you are high -glycerol works wonders.
