Did not know where to post this if in the wrong area please move if needed.

I am looking for old school BMX bikes Frames forks complete bikes parts ECT. Late 70s-1990. . I raced BMX for 15yrs and I’m trying to restore a lot of bikes. It’s a hobby to me and some of the old school pros. We have BMX bike shows kind of like a car show. I will be happy to buy anything as long as they’re not cracked. I can always re chrome or powder coat them it not a big deal. I will pay cash or we can do a trade. I am trying to restore a few bikes from 81 and 86 and cannot find parts. I know a ton of us guys still have bike from when they were kids in our parent’s garage, shed, crawlspace, or in storage that maybe even in our houses. Lmk.

Perhaps check EBAY or run some google searches.

this brings back so many memories...it makes me think back to the mid-late 80's, when all i wanted was a gt..lol..i ended up with a gt pro freestyle tour..(which was stolen from me...i thought i could actually leave it outside the store..lol), then i got a hutch windstyler...damn this was like 86-87....i guess back then we didnt worry to much about getting a car...i was happy with my bike!!! how simpler life was back then...we all had our bikes...haro, dyno, gt, skyway, redline, mongoose, and diamondback...my friend had a ( lets see who remembers this one ) huffy sigma. guys like ( sorry if i get the spelling wrong ) danny "apparition" aparijo, dennis "dmc" mccoy, jose "decat" yanez, ron wilkerson, eddie fiola, matt hoffman, mike dominguez, and the godfather bob haro were like kings to us...can you tell i used to love bikes..lol...who here remembers RAD...lol...i feel like a kid again...lol..CJ

I WAS SPONSORED BY GT IN THE EARLY 80'S.. gt took good care of its riders.. the only thing that was not gt on my bike was the skyway graphite rims since they co sponsored me.. i got to race with all the old greats, stu thompson, eddie king, timmy judge, seth bucceri, pete loncaravich, ect ect.. great sport.. was hoping that i would have a son to get into the sport.. but, couldnt put the stem on the apple..

definitely.....we had so much fun back then...we would be on our bikes for hours....i loved the summer...no school, so we could be out all day on our bikes...trying to do all the tricks the pros could do. these kids now a days grow up to fast...its like the fun is gone! CJ

So any of you old school boys wanna help a brother out? I know one of you hung on to your shit or it is at your parents. I will pay good money or mae a trade

This is a great post! Brings back alot of memories: GT, Torker, Redine, Diamondback, Hutch! What about the launch ramps........;)

I just sold my old Wilkerson AirLines a few months ago for $700 !!
People will pay some bucks for them !

ILL DIG OUT SOME PICS.. i actually made the cover of bmx plus magazine back then.. it was me coming over the camel humps at the nationals (i believe) in memphis.. man i loved that sport.. i got my national plate and was set to "rule the world' and make stu thompson my bitch lol..
the funny thing was back then i got to practice with quite a few good guys.. gregg hill of gt was awesome and very "older brother" like to the young up and comers.. reality hit at olney illinois though..
at the nationals in olney i was very excited.. i loved that track.. it wass nothing but sweeps and straight aways.. loved the straights.. i won every moto and semi final.. during the time between that and the finals i was practicing starts and eddie king came by and was talking to another guy .. he said he saw me and was impressed.. (i was in heaven).. eddie was about 4 years older than me but was a god to me.. he said the guys were running sprints and i should come over and stay loose.. so i did.. i got to sprint against eddie... he frickin' smoked me lol.. i could not get through my head that 13 years old was way different than 17 years old.. i was demoralized.. lol

oh well.. the finals came and i was winning into the last sweep.. and winning by about three bike lengths at least.. i went to power out of the sweep, slipped my pedal, fell onto the boy bar and couldnt right myself.. i came across the line and gregg hill was staring at me.. i thought he was going to give me a lecture.. he just said " you had it won.. but, how much did you need to win by.. cruise to victory.. a win is a win no matter by how much"... i never forgot that.. 4 years later i discovered cars and girls.. slipped out of it.. funny though.. when iw as in my mid 20's i was watching the nationals on espn and guess what?.. pete, eddie and many others were still racing in the pro class and making big money.. another career f' up for me..:D
