Almost every article you read about a new training system has you working chest on Monday and legs further on in the week! Just dont make sense unless you have Tom Platz quads and you dont need to hit them hard! Try and do legs on Thursday or Friday after youve hit the rest of your body balls to the wall! I just think it makes sense to hit the largest most taxing muscle groups first in the week and then work your way to the smallest! Example:
MONDAY: QUADS,HAMS,CALF
TUESDAY:BACK & ABS
WENDSDAY:OFF
THURSDAY:CHEST & BICEPS
FRIDAY:SHOULDERS & TRICEPS
OFF WEEKENDS!
Anyone have opinion on this routine? Like I said if I hit legs further down the week they dont get done properly! Too exhausted! Can never have too much quad sweep! At 49 years old more than 2 days in a row of HIT you need to rest! OLESWOLE!

legs into back is taxing as hell for me. I do legs the day before a rest day and back twice a week. Legs suck either way. Especially supersets and walking lunges in between sets, fml

Agree back after legs is brutal! Im thinking of doing chest on Tuesday take Wendsday off and hit back on Thursday, shoulders on Friday arms on Saturday as a superset routine! Back twice a week brutal!

mon--chest
tue--back
wed--legs
thur--shoulders
fri--arms

done this for years and continues to work for me

Ive tried 5 days in a row, need a day break to give body a chance to catch up! And to cook meals for the rest of the week!

Mon-legs
Tues-chest
Wed-back
Thurs-off
Fri-shoulders
Sat-bi, tri
Sun-off

never liked doing legs on Day 1 bc the rest of the week is upper body.
i like
back ,calves
chest tris
off
legs
shoulders bis
off
off

Monday- Hamstrings/ Biceps
Tuesday- Shoulders/ Triceps
Wednesday- Quads
Thursday- Chest/ Calves
Friday- Back

Tues-Chest, delts
Wed-glutes, hams, quads
Thurs-off (abs, calves,light cardio depending)
Fri-Back
Sat-Arms
Sun-Light quads, hams, glutes
Mon-Off (abs, calves, light cardio)

Tues: quads/calves
Wed: arms
Thur: delta/traps/abs
Fri: OFF (24 hr shift at work)
Sat: back/calves
Sun: chest/hams/abs
Mon: OFF (16hr shift at work)

I leave it to smarter more experienced people than I. DC split for me.

Workout A: e.g. Monday
Chest, shoulders, triceps, back width, back thickness

Workout B: e.g. Wednesday
biceps, forearms, calves, hams, quads

Repeat

I get better results when hae day off before and after leg workout even if the workout is in the end of the week than training legs on monday then have trainind day day or even two later

back
chest/biceps
off
shoulders/triceps
off
legs
off

would work better than

legs
back
off
chest/biceps
shoulders/triceps
off
off

I always try to focus on groups I want to bring up and what muscle groups are most taxing

if back is my focus Ill train it the first day after my day off .. legs are the most taxing so I have a day off after that day...

I agree....sometimes I need a day off too in the middle of the week. I will take Wednesday off and hit legs on Saturday. I will also use Saturday as an extra leg day if I feel like doing them twice.
