Body type/genetics for Mens Physique?

Trying to get some feedback here from guys that competed or coach etc. Basically anyone with some knowledge as I am new to this sport. Currently 221 fasted @6ft. I'm bulking till end of jan. The goal is to get to 230-240. After I cut down and pull out water I know I'll drop a ton of weight. So with my body type if you can judge by the pics would I be good for mens physique or am I too heavy? Trying to get some direction. The top pic is pretty current and the bottom is this summer when I was around 6-7% bf at 205lbs

Either way there is a lot of work to still do.
IMO, I think your body leans towards getting bigger than shredded.
6-7% ??? That's 10%..sorry.
 
ive seen much bigger and leaner mens physique guys. so id say you arent to big

and since uve been 205 at 6 foot, with 10%bf, id say you def arent to big for mens physique.

Thanks a lot for the input man. I personally think I'm no where near what I need to be size wise for bodybuilding. I think by the time I get on stage I'll be too small. I'm new to all this and still learning and trying to figure things out. And I questioned the bf myself. It's one of those Direct Segmental Multi-frequency technology machines. Didn't think it was that accurate but some ppl say they are pretty decent. But if I'm at 10% at 205 then even when I get done trying to add muscle right now I should be 200 or under stepping on stage in May after it's all said and done. But I've been told by guys that compete at my gym that I'm in the middle. So I'm just after multiple opinions to try to figure out if I would do good in physique or if I should just not worry about it and focus on adding more size for a year or so.

That's what I'm thinking now as well. I think I'm going to continue to try to put on size till around Feb and then start prepping to do mens physique. It'll be my first show. I started lifting at 165lbs 4 years ago and started to get serious around 1.5 years ago. Still trying to suck in all the information I can and apply it. I've never tried to lean out for a show so I honestly don't know what to expect. Over summer I just eat clean and lean and stick right around maintenance calories, no cardio which is bad I know, but hopefully a more aggressive diet and way better conditioning I'll come in pretty decent. Maybe I'll start up a log and get some critique and knowledge along the way from all you guys.
