I got into bodybuilding in early 90s and I remember people saying the guys were to big then now they are regarded as the best time period. Arnold didn't become Arnold because he was aesthetic he was the freak for his time. 99 percent of all bodybuilders want to be biggest baddest fucker out there whatever they say. When people bash the the freaks and say they would never want to look like that don't worry because if they looked like you they'd probably kill themselves.

There will always be guys willing to push the envelope to get bigger, more conditioned etc... Those not willing to do so don't win comps. Its unfortunate but lets face it some of us are a little sick in the head.
