We always talk about how you need to be commited to your training and also how BB is a battle of the fork and knife as much as it is a battle with the iron. One thing I really never have seen is you better be ready to go to battle with the dirty knife and fork once your plate is clean. And laudry, forget about it!

This all occured to me as I realized that I am filling darn near a sink a day and seemingly doing 4x as much laundry as my roomate. Not a big deal but it is one more burden to bare.

So am I the only one that feels this way?

You need to get married:D Not to sound sexist (I do my share of house work) but a good supportive partner will help you out in these departments! Just my 0.02$

Showy

I couldn't agree more...but a wise man will show much appreciation every day to his wife for the additional work it takes to married to someone who eats a forklift worth in food and piles up dishes and cloths. Personally, I think my wife is a saint, and I don't know what I've ever done to deserve her.

I always help out when work doesn't get in the way...helping with the kids, doing dishes or putting them away...help with folding cloths etc.

Life can be a hell've a lot more complicated if the little things are overlooked. Plus if you run into the store to grab something...grab a card or flowers saying thanks for the support. It fills up their love vase, and is one of the keys they are looking for in relation to all their efforts.

Trust me on this...

Yep...any above average results from this sport are much easier to come by when it becomes a team effort.

Since I lost my wife I have to do all the laundry, my daughter helps but being a teenager she is either doing her homework or going out with friends. I also do the cooking, luckily she eats what I eat...chicken breasts, flank steaks etc. she does help with the dishes.

Oh my my, how I've been there. During my prep in 2002, I was also working full time while working on my apprenticeship. I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment with no dishwasher or utility room. Yup, all dishes had to be handwashed, and I had to go to the laundrymat every few days.

On top of dishes and laundry, I was working 8-10 hour shifts, going to school, training, cardio, cooking, shopping, etc. All this without a significant other. When I went to Pittsburgh to visit my trainer, I couldn't believe how all of the guys he was working with didn't lift a finger at home. All they had to do was eat, sleep, train...eat, sleep, train. Lucky fellas.

Here was an average day for me during this time.

4:00 AM: Wake, shower, dress, pack food for the day. I already had my bag prepared from the night before.

5:00 AM: Cardio, calves, abs

6:00 AM: Shower, eat first meal.

7:00 AM: Arrive at work

9:00 AM: Second Meal

11:00 AM: Third Meal

2:30 PM: Fourth Meal

3:45 PM: Train, cardio

5:30 PM: Fifth Meal at gym

6:30 PM: Arrive home, shower. Unpack everything. Clean dishes, prep food for following day, prep bag for following day.

9:30 PM: Final meal

10:00 PM: Bed

Now that was only if I was working an 8 hour shift. Sometimes it would be a 10 hour and I would get to the gym until 5:30. On top of this, I was going to school 45 minutes from home, though it was only once a week, I still wouldn't get home from class until 10-11 PM depending on traffic and how the instructor was feeling. Then of course you have to squeeze in shopping, cleaning house, laundry, etc. To this day, I still don't know how the hell I did all of it alone.

I've been married or engaged so long I forget what it's like to do dishes or laundry.

If anyone is reading this and thinks, "I'm going to get married so I have someone to cook & clean" ... don't do it... it's so much cheaper to hire a maid :)

Well I would like to get married but I am not going to push it. When it happens it happens. It would be awesome to have a little help. Hell just having someone do it with me would be nice.

I was raised to wash your dishes when your finished with them , the only thing that stacks up at my house is the clean dishes in the dish drainer. It drives me nuts to walk by the sink and see dishes in their. Needless to say I do all the dishes at my house.

I also do most of the laundry at my house cause like the dishes it makes me crazy to have clothes in the dryer if its not running , the wife will put a lod in the dryer and one in the washer then come back a few hrs later and take the dry clothes out put in the wet ones start it and walk off , well two days later I look for a shirt and its in the dryer !!

Same here, I prefer to wash my dish after every meal and avoid a huge pile later on.

Washing clothes is easy what I HATE doing is folding..so I dont mind having it in the dryer, just hit "air fluff" every once in a while and im G2G ;)

I use plastic bowls/spoons/forks/plates. lol
I hate washing..but now I'm getting to the point where I just use the same dish over and over and just clean it after I'm done.

i figured out that the more dishes i have available to me the more i will let pile up. in my apartment i have 1 plate, bowl, fork, spoon, knife, pot, and 1 pan.

the ironic part is they are all always in the sink...dirty. i hate washing dishes.
