Quick update on these. I ordered the Sony WF-1000XM3's and I've been playing around with these buds for a few days now and I wouldn't order these again. If you're used to the massive volume and clear range and bass on Skullcandy, Bose, Bang and Olufsen, or Jaybird Vistas, these aren't for you.I don't know if any of you dudes pulled the trigger on earbuds but Best Buy has a sale on earbuds the
Sony WF-1000XM3's wi-fi noise-cancelling in-ear monitors for $129! Also the Sony WF-1000XM4's for $249.
The XM3's were $199 orig and the XM4's were $279
I got the XM3's for 130 because I'm cheap.
The Sony connect app is lousy, the audio sounds plastic and cheap. At full volume, these sound just a tad above normal volume. The noise cancelling leaves a lot to be desired, the tap button controls on the buds are clumsy and error prone with no volume control! And these WILL fall out of your ears. Even with an uncomfortably snug fit. Disappointing too, because I've listened to the Sony XM4 wireless over-the-ear phones and these buds are NOT those headphones. Not even close. Not by any metric whatsoever.
I was really hoping for a nice upgrade but just ordered the Vista II's because I know they'll be good as I'm using the original Vistas now with no noise cancellation. I took a chance on the Sony XM3's and just no. No way. Not for the quality I'm already spoiled with. These are little improvement on buds half the price like my kids use.
