Now, I know that powdered gatorae contains dextrose and has less sugars than powdered gatorade. However, are there any other reasons to choose one over the other?

my bad

meant to say powdered has dextrose and contains less sugar than bottled..my bad

The powder is likely a lot cheaper. Other than that ease of use would likely favor the bottled. Easier to vary the concentration with powder. Frankly, coolaid with a dash of salt and maybe a multivitamin is a hell of a lot cheaper.....

I don't know how you're figuring it has less sugar. If you mix the powder according to the directions, it still has 13-14gms carbs per 8oz. They both contain dextrose as well. In the bottles it takes the form of glucose syrup, and in the powder it comes from powdered dextrose for obvious reasons. So the only difference is that the powder does not contain fructose. They both contain sucrose as well, aka table sugar.

Rex.

I use powdered gator aide to make my own Carbo Forces for post work out. I mix what would equivlent 5 8oz serving and just mix 8oz of water with it. Its strong, but dose the job.
