Stress is a generalized response to almost any stimulus.
Avoiding stress is almost imposible. Working, traveling, working out a few of the factors that trigger the stress response.

High stress levels, which are higher in weight lifters, can weaken the adrenal glands. When stress continues over a long time the adrenal glands response to this stress can deplete the body`s hormonal and energy reserves, and the glands may eiter shrink is size or enlarge. The over production of cortisol hormone caused by prologed stress can weaken the immune system.
Adreanal insufficiency is some times linked to thyroid problems as well.

First stage there is a stresser which upsets-disrupts the body`s metabolic balance of homeostasis.

Next stage is the alarm reaction, during this stage the body reacts to stress though a predictable (sterotyped) chain of chemical and hormone events.

The bottom line, no metter cause of the stress, the response of the body is the same.

By understanding what is stress, you will able to improve your health.
 
Hey Emeric, I got 2 bottles of Humanofort today! On a post a few days ago I believe you said that more is better with this supplement. I'm currently at 265lbs with less then 10% bf. How many pills would you recommend me taking?

Take 400mg (4caps) 2 caps every 12 hours.
 
Thanks for the info about stress

I've dealt with some extremely stressful things in the past. It seems like the older you get the harder it is on your body. Some of the stress I've been dealing with over the past year has really taken a toll on my body. It made it extremely difficult to lose weight.

Emeric, is this the mean symptoms of an average test group? There is an X factor for human response to stress. We're all wired differently as I'm sure you know. I have personally witnessed MANY trained young men respond differently to the same exact extreme stress.

Good Point!

Some people can tolerate mental stress more, some physical , some neither, and at all different levels.

i think the bodybuilding life style definately helps in lowering stress levels for my self.
 
I have two things to say regards stress, don't sweat the small stuff and everything is small stuff. Now I am going to take a large glass of my own medicine.:D

Yes, that is corect. When you have no any other worry in your life than just to train, than is much easier to lower your cortisol levels.
 
stress can take over your life if not careful.
weight training is a great way to reduce stress and anxiety.

Wight lifting is a diferent stress, butt is true it takes you mind owey from the dayly related stress(temporary).
 
One thing I have noticed is that stress really effects how you lose bodyfat...I had a hard time last year, when getting ready for my shows...I was under alot of stress at home and work...It really got to me and affected how my prep went...This year, has been so easy, im dieting easier and things in my life are good...The fat just seems to melt off...Plus im growing at a much better rate...Stress really effects your growth and fat losses
