My bet would be on the weight gain
Not being a dick but did you even read my original post? My bottom number is in the 60's. One time today it was 59. Not sure where you got 150/90. I had 29 pills of Superdrol laying in a drawer. I decided to take 10mg a day and if my BP went up I was going to drop them. After 15 days it has had zero effect on my BP.Superdrol on top of 150/90 BP is an absolutely terrible fuckin
Are you drinking more coffee or other caffeinated beverages sinc you are hitting it so early? As I got older that really hits my BP if I up it.In the last 2 weeks I decided to get more consistent and serious about my training. So I started getting up at 4 am and hitting the gym before work. Also eating more. I take 3 different blood pressure medicines each day. Yes 3. Been than way for the past almost 20 yrs. Runs in the family. Normally my Systolic is in the 120's or lower. Diastolic normally in the 60's or even the 50's. I developed a cough and my doc and I decided to drop the Lisinopril, its known to cause coughs, and just take the Hydrochlorothaizide. Well my blood pressure after a month seemed to be fine.
2 weeks ago when I started my new gym routine I also started taking each day 5gr of Creatine, 4000mg of Astragalus, and preworkout 6gr of L-Citrulline. I've probably gained 7-8lbs in that time. Just from eating more and hitting the weights every day. The problem is now my Systolic is reading in the 150's. So its jumped 25-30 points. This has me stumped. I do TRT, 250mg of Test E per week, been like that for about 4yrs. I've also been taking 4IU of GH per day for the last 4 yrs.
The only things that have changed are the supplements and working out more and the weight. I'm also now doing cardio more often. Never have done it much or consistently at all. I can't figure out what would cause my Systolic to jump like that? My diastolic is still in the 60's. Could it be the L-Citrulline?
I just had my calcium score done it was 7.13. My score was 4 back in 2018. Also just had another Echo done. My EF was 60-65%. Any ideas what could be going on here? May go back to my doctor and see about changing my BP meds again. Systolic in the 150's is way too high. I will be 52yrs old in a couple months. TIA.
And the problem with you making that statement is elevated systolic (top number) is the one closely related to health issues like stroke, heart attack, cardiovascular disease, etc.Not being a dick but did you even read my original post? It's more likely muscle memory. I'm the same way. It comes back and you lean out at the same time. 7-8 lbs is just filling back in from less intense training for a few months or more. You’re 52 and trying to gain size. That ship has sailed and is now only causing you obvious health issues. Maybe check out the thread about yet another bb in kidney failure. I’m not judging you as we all struggle to let it go. The universe is speaking to you are you listening
Oh shit. Superdrol could be a big part of it.My doc wants me to double my Hydrochlorothiazide. So going from 12.5mg per day to 25 mg per day. Been on that a couple days now. Not sure if that will help or not. Definitely gonna make me piss more. Just what I need. Lol. I go back in a month he wants to check my electrolytes. We'll see. Hopefully this 10mg of Superdol I started won't make my blood work go crazy. It hasn't effected my blood pressure any since I added it. Top number roughly the same since before.
I had rotator cuff surgery 8 months ago. I haven't been able to train very much like usual. A few weeks ago, since the shoulder is better, I started hitting the gym every day. I think the weight gain came from now working out every day and my body just rebounded some from the break. I dropped Creatine which I had started also. My top number went up from the weight gain I think. I DID NOT want to gain weight. It just happened. I threw in the Superdrol on the idea that if my blood pressure went up at all I would drop it. After 15 days it hasn't. I had the 29 pills in the drawer and said wth just try it and after their gone I'll never have any again. Lol.You gained 8lbs in 2 weeks, normally are 260’s and now in the 270’s, you have OSA, on 3 meds and your 52 and decided to take Superdrol?
What is your body fat? I am betting high. As already stated starting superdrol is a terrible idea. Post a pic. I bet you drop 6-8% body fat and change nothing else (except the superdrol) and these symptoms and need for 3 meds starts to go away.
I think guys aren't reading everything. My blood pressure went up BEFORE the 10mg of Superdrol. I haven't gained anymore weight since I started the 10mg 15 days ago. Its almost gone anyway. After these few pills are gone I'll never have anymore of them.Oh shit. Superdrol could be a big part of it.
but caffeine/coffee?I think guys aren't reading everything. My blood pressure went up BEFORE the 10mg of Superdrol. I haven't gained anymore weight since I started the 10mg 15 days ago. Its almost gone anyway. After these few pills are gone I'll never have anymore of them.
Hell no. I didn't want to gain any weight at all. It just happened. I was kinda shocked. But as I said I think its just a rebound from the lack of REAL training being 8 months post rotator cuff surgery and now in the gym every day. You’re 52 and trying to gain size. That ship has sailed and is now only causing you obvious health issues. Maybe check out the thread about yet another bb in kidney failure. I’m not judging you as we all struggle to let it go. I hate coffee. I do have a weakness for Diet Dr. Pepper. Lol. But I've started to cut that back. An issue for me is hunger. Its crazy how hungry I get even at almost 52. It will literally wake me up during the night if I don't eat something filling before bed. And I thought your metabolism slowed down as you got older. Tell my stomach that.but caffeine/coffee?
He made a declarative statement that my blood pressure was 150/90. I have never had a reading that high. I simply pointed out that what he said was/is factually wrong. At no point in this entire thread have I ever said that 150 was/is a good reading. So I'm not exactly sure what was/is problematic about me pointing out he was/is wrong about my actual blood pressure readings. I also got a 141 and 143 and a 136 systolic reading also today. The 136 I don't have an issue with. The 141 and 143 is still too high IMO.And the problem with you making that statement is elevated systolic (top number) is the one closely related to health issues like stroke, heart attack, cardiovascular disease, etc.
Yep. If I gain significant water weight from AAS or just increased carbs, my BP goes up 10-20 points Sys.7-8 more pounds is a lot for the body to adjust to and the heart. Especially if that weight is stabilized and not temporary. My money would be on the weight gain given it’s the metric that changed.
Now it could also be from stress, HPA axis dis regulation and lack of quality sleep. Or a combination of those factors with the weight gain. But if it was me I would drop any excess body fat and see if that resolves it and either way work with your doctor to adjust your meds to bring it back down.
1. What am I defending? You asked. People answered. You are defending and rationalizing. If you aren't going to listen and stick to your beliefs why'd you ask?
I'm not eating a lot more than before. I try not to eat too much carbs. I love keto but I simply cannot stay "full" on it. So I have to throw in some carbs. But the carbs are really just oatmeal. I will have some Bob Evan potatoes with chicken at night sometimes. It helps fill my stomach before bed. Its so funny I have always been terrible about doing cardio. I hate it its so boring. But I have been doing 5 half hour sessions a week. And what happens going from zero cardio a week to that? My blood pressure goes up. Lol. Go figure.Yep. If I gain significant water weight from AAS or just increased carbs, my BP goes up 10-20 points Sys.
