Met him at the 2005 Olympia...he was super pissed at someone at the muscle tech booth..I didn’t know who he was, but my friend did..dude instantly calmed down when my friend went and talked to him..then gave my friend a lot of advice on personal training..literally, talked to my friend for over an hour like he knew him his whole life

48 to 54 seems to be when a lot of the "issues" really bubble up. I know five bodybuilders very, very well (meaning I'd consider personal friends, they were at my wedding, etc.). Three are dead...all between 48-52. One had a heart attack at 53 but survived. Only one is healthy and to no surprise he was the smallest of the five (not the lowest user but the smallest by about 50 pounds).

Please don't mistake my tone with trying to start crap in a RIP thread...that is not my intent at all. It's really just a tone of sadness after losing friends in a similar way. It just makes me sad. With a few google searches, most are saying it was a heart attack or cardiac arrest but doesn't seem confirmed and just the normal speculation.

he was on dialysis, his kidneys had failed awhile ago amongst other issues
