i utilize a 3 day week full body workout it works great for putting on mass bulking phase, do you guys switch things up when your bulking or cutting as for workouts, diet i know will always be number 1 for deciding bulking or cutting any thoughts

I for one don't - I try to keep my poundages up as much as possible, and still stick to the basic mass-builders (except in this case, they're more "mass-keepers"). Different people have different approaches, though.

As you stated, its your diet that determines whether you will be cutting fat or adding muscle.

But yes, for the most part, the compound exercises (squat, bench, deadlift) are the exercises most used for building mass fast. Some folks that are cutting, will use more isolated movements, at much lower weight, but higher reps, for more volume, almost to incorporate a cardio-like workout, but with weights. You can always do compound movements with high reps as well.... Pick one style you like, and stick with that style for minimum 4 weeks. If it starts working, just stick to it, for a long time, 4-6 months plus, until you reach your desired look.

TBH - workouts stay in the same style in either phase.

I use a Yates - esque 1 or 2 sets to fail, 4-5 exercises per muscle/group done and dusted in an hour or so.

It works to build it and keep it ... for cutting I manipulate diet and cardio - I dont chase the numbers like I do with lots of calories and water floating about but I dont back off big time either - you know sensible with the intensity and the weights :)
