Other than a change in cardio..how much does your work out routine change for bulking. Not talking diet.
 
nothing realy , maybe the last 4-5 weeks out from a show i'll add another movement in with higher reps too try to bring more seperation.

But its pretty much DC style the whole time , probably higher intensity cause of the androgens presant

Very good, i read the growth principles a while back, also a 9week cutting routine and a plan from Dorian Yates. Many different thoughts and I know each person is different. Thanks for the insight..
 
Nothing still train hard ...of course your calorie restricted so you will run out of gas faster ...But you cant have your cake and eat it too
 
I always change my routine out drastically... Maybe alot of the same exercises, but I do supersets in groups of 2 and the reps start at 10 then 12 and finally last set of 15 before moving to the next group of 2. Weights are obviously lighter... but we're training bodies not egos.

while dieting ??

My rest periods change from 2 min while bulking to 30 seconds while cutting. Or try to at least, more like 30-45 seconds. There was a study that showed keeping rest periods to under 30 burned almost twice as many calories. The shorter rest periods cause me do go down a bit in weight though. No probelms reaching 10% with just the above and a good diet. I dont do cardio.

I actualy get stronger though my prep till the last coue weeks then the first set power is their but peters out FAST
I'm off almost all off season , get on a low dose of test for a several weeks leading into my prep then the dose gradually goes up , I find that I don't lose much is any muscle this way as I don't need to cut the calories as drastically

kind of the "grow into the show" idea

Anyone who still believes the high reps gets you ripped is dumb. The only reason that could ever be close to being true is id diet is in check and you use high rep workouts as your cardio... diet is key.
 
will be cutting starting tommorow, actually should have started two days ago but had mexican yesterday and a big ass T bone today. Will be dropping from 234 14% bf to hopefully 205 lean. Currently cruising on 250mgs Test E weekly. My plan is the lower volume and increase intensity. Increase intensity for me means smaller rest periods, jumping rope between rest periods supersets, burnout sets etc decreasing time of overall workout. Cardio will be low intensity either eliptical or stairs 3 times a week increasing to 4 as i lose weight. Abs on off cardio days. Maldorf made a great point that im going to incorporate this time around, reducing calories by 250 weekly porportional to weight.
