Stopped taking Gh in late August bc my fasted BG reached 101, came off and started taking Metformin hoping to drop it back down.

Short story I've been off now for 2.5 months and i have been taking 1000mg of generic metformin ED and my fasted BG hasn't moved. its constantly 97-102. today was actually 102.

My fasted BG before GH use was 65-75 always.

Am i a none responder to Metformin or is my shit Bunk?

I have also been taking r-ala and chromium.

400mg Metformin at breakfast and my blood glucose is under 70 normally is 85-90

Are your hands clean? Microparticles of glucose (sugar's) from foods can skew your BG readings.

Are you "squeezing" your finger tip too draw the blood up? This as well can show false highs.

Your hematocrit levels can show a slight variation +/- with BG monitors (meter). More than likely not the issue, more of an FYI.

If nothing else, I would try another glucose monitor.

well when i had bloods done a few weeks ago my fasted Bg was 88, which is lower then all my readings i have done on my self with the monitor.

I don't clean my hands i just wake up and roll out of bed and take my BG.

its just crazy bc its been 2.5 months and my old fasted BG used to be super low like always in the high 60's.

Food for thought.

Some individuals experience what's called the "dawn phenomenon". It's believed to be caused by our circadian rhythm changes from nocturnal to awakening via catecholamine release and or growth hormone secretion.

It's more common in those with diabetes than those without diabetes. Nonetheless, it can happen with nondiabetics.

If your BG was 88mg/dl on your fasting lab's. I'd say you're fine, and your meter isn't as accurate as a blood draw.

Metformin is only part of a complete treatment program that may also include diet, exercise, weight control, and special medical care. You can try do some exercise like brisk walking, swimming and bike riding.
Insulin also can decrease the BG, you can try some.

" include diet, exercise, weight control, and special medical care." can we ban him? :(
