I do this CPAP stuff for a living, believe it or not.
Others said this in the thread but you need to get a sleep study. The first study will determine the type and severity of the apnea. The second one is a titration study to determine what your ideal pressure is.
Personally i wouldn't deal with any insurance company to get your equipment. They charge you too much and give you crap service. Respiratory services seem to have a low priority with companies. Dunno why.
Just go out on your own to a local CPAP shop in your area. Or you can deal with someone online.
