Cabergoline, the God send for my libido, desensitize?

Good analogy and I agree. But after more research, triggered by your post, I feel like I'd be heading down a path where if I wanted to feel better, I'd likely be on the path to using these dopamine drugs for life. I've seen people on anti-depresants of sorts for 15-30 years and they are NOT a pretty picture. Messed up beyond belief. So I owe it to myself to try I-dopa. If my libido issues were prolactin, then this will help. I suspect I have a dopamine deficiency and that is also why the cabergoline helped me feel so much better. But I am not about to commit going on this drug for the next 10-20 years.

well bud, i too have a dopamine issue.
im not gona try n pin it down too much more then that as it is always changing.

there are lots of sups that can play with this stuff.
years back i researched l-dopa n thought it was interesting but with more research found things that were more suited for my needs.

docs would have me on a bunch of meds, it would be for life.

seeing what happens with all that i decided it wasnt for me.

you need to look at life in total not just chemicals.

i like theanine for a lot of things.
while it is often suggested for things related to serotonin and for sure has purpose there, it also helps to regulate dopamine.

this is key, we need balance in the neurochemsity.

your brain trys to kind of stay with some sort of ballance with all your basic neuro chems. so if you jack one up your body may try and jack up another to maintain a sort of homeostasis...

i have and do take a lot of things for serotonin, this also seems to increase dopamine activity:lightbulb:

i understand how you arrived at where you did, lol i go there too, you just need to keep digging! lol soo much more too it all then whats on the surface.

in regards to prolactin.. if you can see it with blood tests thats one thing but remember lots can influence this. a blood test is a snapshot in time.

histamine, cortistol and methelation are all things to consider and look into

:)

^To add to that, some supplements that may help with regulating neurotransmitters.

N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine
Vitamin C
Selenium
Theanine (as suggested)
D3
Melatonin
Magnesium
Methylcobalamin
5-HTP

well thats a list yes.
you may want to be careful with 5htp n other stuff combo.
says research.
i have never liked it.

i dont take most of that.

theanine is my go to for most as it can be calming too.
cheap and easy to use good bang for buck

rhodiola amazing for this stuff but can be too strong.
that said it is an adaptogen/herb and lil different

you can research the above two all you want, the fuck of it is when it comes down too it ppl arent really sure what they do n how, for me they have had a beneficial effect.

they do more then just increase one thing. :lightbulb:

zinc and magnesium are supper important and again dollar for dollar, a must.

idebenone has multiple benefits, for head also helps with serotonin.
;)

I fully admit I jumped the gun with Cabergline. I read some encouraging stories around the web and thought I'd give it a try. But I'm in this for the long term. Not looking for quick fixes. I'm 50 years old and realize you may get your quick fix, but will always pay for it on the other end. Cabergoline seems to fit that criteria. I will say the few months I was on it, were incredible. Libido wise for sure. It was insane actually. So what I'm doing now is taking from what Cabergoline gave me and realizing what that drug does, probably indirectly helped identify my issues. !. I'm probably lightly depressed and have low dopamine. and 2. Likely higher prolactin levels.

I'm on a mission for find some ways to hopefully naturally gets those in line. As best I can anyhow. If not, I might consider bringing in Cabergoline 2 times per years, running a month or two and then going off.

I watched videos of people who developed serious involuntary movement issues from these medications and that scared the living shit out me.

I will be researching these lists of supplements as well.

What about prami for longer term use? Caber seems to be the top dog among the bunch though

Caber is best. The issues arise for you dopamine production not coming back and serious bouts of depression and neurological stuff cropping up when it is quit. Involuntary movement shit in face. It's SCARY stuff. Even just using this stuff for 3-6 months can yield years battling depression or dependency. I feel like it might work to cycle for a month here and there, but still dangerous.

It does work though. I felt so happy, upbeat and was a walking hard on these past few months. I went from being totally blah sexually, forcing it, to craving kinky sex with my girl and chasing her around all day. We'd go two rounds and I was wanting it again fifteen minutes later. I have not been that way since my twenties, if ever. Throw in some cialis or viagra and forget it, I'd have needed two or three women to be satisfied.

Hard to walk away from that after years of being blah.

no dude, none of them! lol
as stated the issue is partially with elevated D but soo much more too it. you really can not say what will happen to you for sure. thats the fun part! lol

of the prolactin meds used, caber is by far the most side effect free and fun sexually for most.

was looking throughout the different sponsors, and find it ridiculous that some ask more for a liquid generic, that what you can get from other sponsors made by pfizer....

It's funny seeing levodopa recommended as a healthy alternative to cabergoline.

I have some caber that I ordered because I wasn't feeling like I felt I should. But, after reading about all the possible effects and issues, I decided not to. I've had delayed ejaculation since the 1st time I got laid and read that caber may help with the condition. Til I grow some nuts, it's gonna sit in the medicine cabinet.

Wanted to revisit this with another question. What would happen to someone if they just took Caber occasionally. Like .5mg the morning of the day they anticipated sex. Would it work for that? I felt like it needed a few weeks to build up before kicking in the sex drive.

Man I am missing this caber. I'm taking Ldopa now and it works, but not near as strong.
