In short I get restless legs sometimes. Not like some. But at night really have to stretch my legs a few times.

Felt a sharp pain in rear outer calf area but up closer to the knee. Debating on just resting it or going through the whole doctor appt thing. My ins usually makes me get an X-ray then another appt. Then finally an mri and a third appt.

Didn’t hear a pop or a tear
Tore a bicep 15 years ago and that sounded like tearing a piece of paper.
Bicep balled up.

There seems to be no bulge. Could be a muscle tear or poss pulled muscle.
I’ve worked out legs and never had an issue. Ironic I did it stretching like a dog or a cat on the couch.

Have full mobility but about five times an hour when walking or stairs I scream like a baby. Lol

Any advice ?
I build houses for a living so gotta get a handle on recovery time. Basically need to be on a ladder up and down a lot.

Never torn my calf, but if you did you’d most likely see significant bruising. Do you have bruising?

Idk just happened this morning. Prob if no bruise tomo it’s just a partial tear. Put a knee sleeve brace on it to help walk. It’s def not a full calf tear. More to the side of upper calf. Likely just a partial tear or muscle pull of the fibularis longus which I think runs along the siide or close to there.

Hopefully not showing bruising by tomo.

Gettin old blows. lol.

I tore one of my calves. Right when it happened I litterally could not walk on it for a few days. It got better quick and there was a flat spot on my calve where it hurt but it filled back in. Probably 3-4 months until it was normal again

Hopefully turns out ok, I've actually never heard of someone's tearing a calf....achillies yeah but at the top? Usually it's bicep , pec, achillies, acl...labrum etc

I have torn both gastrocs, hamstrings and a soleus.

This isn't a tear, you would have a firm nodule of skeletal muscle. In all sincerity I hate to downplay it, just a very very bad trigger point. I would find a local physio that dry needles followed by a hour massage on it.

Bruising is also almost immediate for a posterior chain tear.

I tore my calf in a powerlifting meet. In the hole of my squat I leaned too far onto my toes and it tore. Honestly it was probably my most painful tear pain wise. Leg bruised from ankle to knee basically. When I went from laying down to standing the pain was ridiculous from blood going back into it. Compression 24/7 helped immensely with pain for me here. It took a few months before I walked normal again. And it was just a slow process of stretching it more and more. This sounds like a strain honestly. I think just taking it easy on it for awhile will heal you up fine.
