I was just wondering what the general consensus was when it comes to calories in relation to bulking. my 'normal' intake to maintain is around 3000 with around 1000 coming from protien. how many kcal should i increase this by to put on mass without effecting bodyfat too much. Also whats the best protien, carb, fat ratio and what's the thoughs on having normal, medium and high cal days over the week?

The calorie "days" over a week do not matter. Look at your calorie total for the week better.

Look at how many you are taking in now, if you feel you want to gain, increase by about 500, if you feel you need to lose cut 500 and see what happens.

I don't count macros just calories and eat what I want, so let your body guide you to what you need and feel like eating.
