My uncle is having this issue, I'm sure his doctor has him on whatever it is that is supposed to help that. Is there anything supplement wise someone can suggest to also help?

Thank you fellas I sincerely appreciate it!

Dbol and pizza 💊 🍕

Man he could definitely go ham with adding salt to his cooking/meals! That will help although it’s not what I’d call a healthy diet. Also hydrate more during the day, and drop alcohol!

Am I correct and assuming he’s having issues upon standing up and losing consciousness?

There are pharmacists that can help with that too.

What do you consider low??

Before you go giving him any supplements, have him run some cardiac tests to find out if there's an issue.

If he is working with a doc then let them sort it out rather than tossing in another random variable for the docs to have to find out about.

Thank you guys, he’s been through all the tests and I’m sure he’s on all the meds that can possibly help. I was thinking maybe if there was some type of natural supplement or something that I could suggest to him, something which won’t hurt but could possibly help. Something a regular doc perhaps wouldn’t know to try, we’re usually good about that stuff around here.

@johnjuanb1 Haha thanks but no gear for him

@cage99 Yes correct, he has dizzy spells

@kastro Why carditone? Doesn’t it lower BP?

@pesty4077 I’m sorry I don’t know the specific numbers but I can find out

@Bio I’m sure he has done that already but I will find out for sure

Thank you fellas

I'm interested in this as well. Hoping some of our medical minds like @Type-IIx can give their thoughts.

My girlfriend is consistently 100s / 60s, sometimes a bit lower. She occasionally gets lightheaded standing up and once fainted but she was standing to hug me so I was able to catch her.

Generally, if the blood pressure reading is under 90/60 mm Hg, it is abnormally low and is referred to as hypotension.

I did some more thinking about this and the thought dawned on me: low blood pressure is a symptom of being unhealthy, so anything "healthy" may help reverse it. That's when I thought of exercise. Of course, exercise is a great way to lower blood pressure when it's too high. But exercise is healthy, so maybe it could help address low blood pressure, too? After doing a little digging, it appears exercise can help with low blood pressure.

Interestingly, weak calf muscles can be a contributing factor to low blood pressure, because apparently the soleus acts as a "second heart" to pump the blood back in return up to the heart. Strengthening the calves can therefore help to reverse low blood pressure.

You may suggest exercise, especially things like brisk walks uphill.

This is interesting, I looked up the calf muscle thing and there are studies supporting it. Thank you

If he has some blood work you can access there might be somethign there that could hint at the issue. Elderly sometines have issues with sodium retention due to kidney issues and or aldosterone secretion. Many other possibilities but bloods would help.

Also double check the meds he is actually taking. Hypertension meds are some of the most prescribed, so there is the possibility an overworked doctor or pharmacist running on autopilot threw it in there. Seen some dumb mistakes.

Sometimes people will be swapping meds and just keep on taking the old one while also starting the new one. Then bad things happen.
