Shot 7iu's of humalog IM post workout yesterday...IM hits like lightning, I had only drank about half my carb/whey drink before the shot and by time I got out of the stall and back to my drink I was starting to shake. Quickly chugged the rest of the drink and got in my truck to drive home. I was only driving like 20 minutes when I started to get the second peak. I was suprised it came on so fast (kinda scary too) so I drank a can of soda and a gatorade I brought just incase. Then stopped and bought another 2 cans of soda because I didn't want to get caught without carbs.
I expected the humalog to peak again around the hour mark but it never happened. So the only thing I had was a total of 50 grams of whey and 100 grams of carbs within the 20 minutes after my workout.
Now for my actual question to the guys who are experienced with insulin. Does having insulin act in such a short period of time minimize fat gain or does having it act on so many carbs so quickly cause spill over to fat cells???? All opinions and comments welcome.
