Iv been battling a ten year fight with a rather debilitating gut problem with symptoms similar to cyclic vomiting syndrome. Severe nausea bloating vomiting and horrible abdominal pain that will not stop until given iv nausea mess and dilauded. Was recently diagnosed with a relatively new discease called canibinoid hypermesis syndrome. All my symptoms are related to smoking pot evidently. I quit for a week and my gut seems fine now. I had several misdiagnoses by several doctors and a guy at university of washington medical pointed this out and I seem to be cured. Does anybody else on here have this disorder??

The Canibinoid hypermesis shyndrome usually mistakenly called Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome. People who suffer from CHS often find that hot showers alleviate their symptoms. The Symptoms will better after stop smoking.
It is easy to cure by stop smoking. so maybe you should listen to the doctor and stop smoking.

I've heard of it, just have to quit smoking it. Have you tried edibles? It shouldn't cause flare ups, and may even help from what I understand.

sooo wtf are you looking for?
lol

this sounds like some very misunderstood shit.
things on endocanabinoid system are really just being discovered, i would say little to nothing is "known" for sure.

i think that there are some "disorders" that are probably mislabeled and are actually disorders or linked to issue with endo cannabinoid system...

there is SOMETHING to this as when used in various ways effects of cannabis sure change. in my opinion most who use cannabis value it mroe for a side effect then a real use.

that being the change in perception with intermitten use.

that change goes away and or changes with more use, excess, abuse... whatever it may be.

i use can for medical reasons n do not like that initial feeling, i need to make it go away. i do this by over loading the receptors. after a month or so things get right...

that high level of use is where cannabis use becomes really medical in terms of cancer fighting and use as an antioxident.

i would suspect there is a point where that over load can become excessive. we generally understand that in theroy too many antioxidents are a bad thing.

if you wana fix it in theory stop. stop for a while. then see.

idk why you would "need" to start.... especially if you think its making you sick...

if you want the mental effect best way is to be as sensitive as possible. that comes with lowest dose possible. meaning you stop when you feel it.

if you actually have some sort of gi issue there are probably a lot better things you can do to help yourself then use cannabis.

maybe focus there?

I have no intention of using cannabis any more. Iv been using it to knock me out at night for over 20 yrs. my insomnia is insane. Has been all my life. Now I need to find something else to aid me in sleep. I posted this to see if anyone else out there has experienced this.

I had no issues for a long time then bammm I started ending up in the emergency room several times a month or more.with doctors all scratching their heads. Most of them tried to blame it on my steroid use but I knew that wasn't the case as I'm off roughly half the year and was still experiencing it.

I have quit. And have had zero issues with my stomach since. And oddly enough my appetite has gone through the roof

This is very interesting, i never heard of such thing. I have been smoking (for medical purposes) for about 4 years. Its good to read things like this because if I ever get some of the symptoms you described at least I know where Im at and what needs to be done. Thanks for sharing and good for you for quitting.

SR Rachel (or whatever your name is) as Intense has mentioned is a straight copy paste from google, I'm surprised you aren't being sued for plagiarizing everything you post by copy and pasting info you clearly know nothing about, its kinda sad but funny at the same time :banghead: and now HGH Kits has joined your party, yay there are 2 now

I love copy and paste wannabes. I caught all that too but feel I'm wasting my time even answering these people as they obviously don't know much about anything. Their bodies probably show that too lol. Iv been smoking for 25 yrs and it took me nearly 20 yrs of seriously heavy smoking to get this discease. It's no fun. I actually felt like I was dying. I feel better all together with succesion.

This syndrome is no joke. My dad has been getting sick for years. He smokes a lot of weed and has for years and years. He's 66 yrs old, 5'8 around 145-150 lbs. When he gets sick it's horrible. Gut wrenching vomiting, can't eat can't sleep, etc. Usually lasts about a week then he's back to normal. He's been to all kinds of doctors and specialists but not one of them knows about this or will diagnose I'm...or tell him to cut back on the MJ. Naturally being his son he doesn't listen to a damn thing I say. It's too bad more doctors aren't more open minded.

Big boy he is miserable. Iactually contemplated suicide for many years and became totally hopeless with doctors It only took 3-4 days without smoking and it went away. I would vomit so many times in a day I would become dangerously dehydrated so bad that the hospital would run 4-6 banana bags throug my iv before they would release me. I could easily lose 15-20 lbs in a day while this was happening. It is no joke bro. I smoked heavy for nearly 20 years before this started happening. I'll never touch the stuff again

Personally, you know the issue, you know whats causing it, you apparently stopped what's causing it, thats it! You answered your own post! If this post was about a sleep aid you should have said so in the first post...
but brother, take it from someone who was an absolute wreck, and now has over 3 years of not touching a drug or a drink... you will go back to sleep normally, it may take many many days / weeks of laying in bed without being able to fall asleep but stay strong stay away from caffeine in the afternoon and take a melatonin or two before bed and nothing else and eventually you wont need the pot to fall asleep. Believe me I've been through it

Oh, also... stay off your phone/watching tv in bed. Its the worst thing you can do... just lay there meditate, pray, whatever. Eventually you will have a normal sleeping habit

I never slept good my whole life. Even as a kid. Iv don't drink alcohol and never have drank. I started smoking pot in my early 20,s for no reason other than to help me sleep. Iv never used any drugs other than AAS And they don't make it worse. I'm off them roughly half the time and I still can't sleep. I get manic at night I always have. Pot seemed to be the only thing that relaxed me enough to even sit still long enough to consider going to sleep. Iv tried ambien lunesta and every over the counter thing available and none of it has had any affect on me whatsoever. Doctors have tried to put me on anti depressants many times but I won't touch that shit as I watched it turn my mother into a vegetable. Mentally I'm fine I just can't sleep. If I get an hour of untinurrupted sleep it's a miracle. The older I get the harder it is to go without sleep. Being a logger all my life I wake up around 3am everyday for work. I don't even have a tv in my bedroom. I hardly ever watch my tv.

Cell phones aren't allowed in my bed me and my wife charge them in the kitchen when we are in bed. She started massaging my hands in bed a while back it relaxes me a little but she zonks out immediately when she hits the rack. I wish I could do that. But no dice. Iv been watching and listening everyone sleep and snore my whole life feeling left out. I even get up at my normal 3am work time on the weekends and start my day. Iv never used an alarm clock. Never needed one because I'm already awake. It sucks ass .
