Carb cycling no pasta on high days?...i would like your thoughts

Is pasta ok to eat now on high carb days?.I know most nutrition guru's dont recommend eating pasta while trying to cut.

Get a Glucometer.

Have your 100 grams pasta

Measure your blood glucose 30 mins, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours

Then have a "clean" carb, like white rice.. 100 grams...

Measure your blood glucose 30 mins, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours

This will tell you exactly how YOUR body responds to pasta.

Being part Italian, it was hard to go low carb (and now gluten free, too) given the pasta as a fixture in the diet. But after a while, you realize you don't even want it. That said, we did pick up some brown rice pasta from whole foods last week. But this is only for our use as a side dish, not the big plate full.

Personally, I would not use pasta or any other processed wheat product on a carb day. Fruits and vegetables are a better way, imo.

When I bulk I eat pasta, however it's brown rice or quinoa. Regular white flour pasta spikes your insulin levels too high and it's not ideal unless it's consumed for a post workout meal. When dieting down I will cut out pasta and eat quinoa instead.
